House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries erupted on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday, angrily telling President Trump to shut his mouth and warning that his rhetoric would get people killed.

Trump took to his Truth Social media platform early Sunday morning to celebrate the obliteration of the Iranian regime and pivot to identifying the true enemy of the American people. (Aside from the media, of course).
“Now with the death of Iran, the greatest enemy America has is the Radical Left, Highly Incompetent, Democrat Party!” he wrote. “Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
That’s what we in the biz call “common knowledge” and/or evergreen content.
But Jeffries (NY-8), speaking to CNN’s Dana Bash, had a Category 5 hissy fit over the comments.
“Donald Trump should keep his reckless mouth shut before he gets somebody killed,” the self-styled tough guy fired back.

Hey, Hakeem. You know the absolute best way to get people to stop mentioning that extremist Democrats are an enemy to America?
To paraphrase Jim Carrey in “Liar Liar” — ‘Quit being America’s enemy, jackwagon!’
Of course, he didn’t say ‘jackwagon.’ But I digress.
But seriously, if you were an enemy of the United States, what would you do differently from this list of Democrat policies, platforms, and objectives:
- Leaving our borders open to criminals and terrorists.
- Weaponizing government and intelligence agencies against political opponents, trying to imprison them.
- Attacking and squashing free speech.
- Deliberately weakening the economy with policies designed to benefit foreign nations before America first.
Democrats, as Trump states — Greatest. Enemy. America. Has.
No lies detected.
Further along in his interview, Jeffries also accused the President of trying to get people killed by deploying ICE to major airports to help aid TSA agents who aren’t being paid because of the Democrat shutdown.
“The last thing that the American people need are for untrained ICE agents to be deployed at airports all across the country, potentially to brutalize or in some instances kill them,” Jeffries told Bash.

It’s never easy to follow Jeffries’ logic. First of all, it implies he possesses the ability to reason. But here, let’s try to follow the bouncing ball of thoughts rattling around his head.
Democrats shut down TSA to force defunding of ICE ➡️ ICE is already funded through 2029, so they’re sent to help TSA ➡️ Trump is trying to get people killed.
Guy has three brain cells, max. Guess who doesn’t have to get diverted to airports if not for the Democrat shutdown? Here’s a hint, Hakeem. Rhymes with “mice.”
By the way, go ahead and feel free to stick it when it comes to incendiary rhetoric. Jeffries and his party have spent the better part of a decade referring to conservatives as Nazis or fascists, and trying to brand ICE agents as the Gestapo.
Their rhetoric has coincided with real-world consequences, including two assassination attempts on Trump himself and violent attacks on conservative figures like Charlie Kirk, where perpetrators or sympathizers have echoed the same “fascist” framing to rationalize harm.
When Hakeem says to ‘shut your reckless mouth’ before somebody gets killed, he should be looking into a mirror.
