Roommates, it looks like the try, try and try again motto didn’t work out for Tyrese Gibson this time! Over the holiday weekend, he expressed his “hurt” over Mary J. Blige passing on his requests to collaborate on two songs, including one he “tailor-made” for her. While the ‘Real Love’ singer has yet to react to Gibson revealing the rejection, fans are sounding off about him taking to the internet!

Tyrese Says He’s “Hurt” Over Mary J. Blige’s Collab Rejection
On Sept. 1, The Shade Room reposted a video from Live Bitez of Tyrese speaking into the camera about his disappointment with MJB. He said he tried his “best” to get Mary on two of his songs, but “she passed on it.”
“It’s okay. I feel a way about it, I’m hurt, I’m hurt, I’m really hurt I can’t lie. But she passed on it and I wasn’t hurt that Mary passed on the song as if she didn’t have a choice cause she does, she’s a f*cking legend I love her,” Tyrese said.
He explained that his hurt comes from going into the studio like a “mad scientist” and customizing one of the songs for Mary J. As the video continued, he asked his supporters and the viewers to get a message to Mary.
“You my Capricorn sister. I love you more than you could ever…I don’t even think you understand how much I love you. You are just so one of a kind. You are one of one of one. Your heart, your soul, your compassion, your empathy toward everyone. You take care of everyone around you. Loyal to a default at times. You’re amazing. I love you,” Tyrese said, before adding: “I’m disappointed that you didn’t do my song but we got so much equity over all these years, I ain’t gon that to you.”
His comments about MBJ came ahead of the release of his 20-track album, ‘Painfully Beautiful.’

Tyrese Previously Went Viral For Trying To Connect With MJB
As previously reported, Tyrese also pleaded with Mary J. Blige about her vocals in July. He also used social media at the time to deliver his message. He shared a photo of the R&B hitmaker and a two-paragraph caption, claiming he had been trying to contact her for two weeks but didn’t have a current number or email. At that point, it had been the second time he had tried to shoot his musical shot at MBJ in a month. Even though he pleaded with her directly in his caption, she never publicly responded.
“Dear Mary, if you can read this, I have something so so very special of all the years I’ve been knowing you I’ve never hit you like this. I have something so so very special for us. Oh my God please hit me back when you can,” Tyrese wrote in July.
Aside from his Mary J. Blige comments, Tyrese recently went viral for opening up about his body count, calling it “a little scary.”
