Walz's Nightmare Continues While Testifying in Congress, Including a Solid Burn on the 2024 Election – RedState

The Democrat Party sure knows how to pick ’em, don’t they? Whether it’s the failing upwards of congresspeople like Rep. Jasmine Crockett or the chaos brought about by former President Joe Biden and failed Democrat presidential nominee, VP Kamala Harris, they can’t hide their miserable track record on personnel choices to represent the American people. It’s something that came up during a congressional hearing on Wednesday, which I’ll get to in a minute.

As we wrote earlier, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was on the hot seat testifying in front of the House Judiciary Committee, and Chairman Jim Jordan (OH-04) refused to let him off the hook for the rampant Somali social services fraud engulfing his tenure.

Walz’s nightmare was not over by a long shot, though, with Texas Rep. Pat Fallon (R-04) asking him about the “contributions” of the “70,000-strong Somali community” to MN. He masterfully teed up the numbers to drill down on the Somalis’ supposedly seamless integration into U.S. society over the years. Listen as Walz tries (unsuccessfully) to claim they are doing great:

“You’d be of the opinion, fair to say, that the Somali community has successfully assimilated, and is making Minnesota better?” he asked Walz.

“Yeah, I believe they’re on that path,” Walz said. Fallon then shared the “hard data”:

FALLON: And do you have any idea what percentage of the native-born Minnesotans — all races — live in poverty in your state right now?

WALZ: I don’t have specifically—

FALLON: I’ll share it with you — it’s 8 percent; for the Somali community, it’s 52 percent. How about receiving food stamps?

WALZ: I don’t have—

FALLON: I’ll run it down with you. It’s 7 percent, and then compared to 54 percent in the Somali community. And then, don’t have at least a high school diploma — for all Minnesotans, it’s 5 percent; Somali community, it’s 39 percent. One family member, at least, on Medicaid, it’s 18 percent for Minnesota; 73 percent for the Somali community.

He wasn’t finished. The number for native-born Minnesotans receiving welfare is 21 percent, while it balloons to 81 percent for Somalis. Lastly, he asked the governor what percentage of native-born citizens were charged in the “staggering social services fraud” in his state. It’s 13 percent, while the remainder are Somalian.

Walz appeared unaware of any of the statistics. Fallon pointed out that there are “only two explanations” for such massive fraud taking place over the seven years he’s been governor: either Walz is “in on it, or you weren’t smart enough to see it.”

Next, Rep. Fallon highlights the gravity of the fraud scandal, as he explains that there has been an explosion of whistleblowers who have brought the fraud to light:

But this was the best part, as the Lone Star State congressman absolutely landed a solid burn over the Democrats choosing Walz as Harris’ running mate in 2024:

Fallon went further, noting that the party has a regular pattern of picking someone well-versed in incompetence as vice president who won’t overshadow the top of the ticket. It says so much about the obvious weakness the Democrat Party has, one that can easily be exploited, as we edge nearer to the midterms and 2028.
