The first episode lays the rest to the career of Muhammad Ali. Then the new era of boxers are seen coming in. They try to make it big for themselves. We start with the journey of Ray Leonard, who is trying to make a name for himself, just like Muhammad Ali.
We see Ray starting out as a shy kid who did not want to hit anyone. But, then he started to. And when he started to, it was all over. He was seen as America’s next big hope. Why? Because people started to see him as the next face of America in the Olympics.
The episode also acted as a reminder to people and telling them about the personal life struggles of Leonard. It shows us all the records that he made under Angelo’s guidance. He ended up defeating champion known as Wilfred Benitez. Therefore, he became the World Welterweight Champion.

The Kings Episode 2 is going to release on June 13th, 2021. If you want to watch it, the episode will air at 8:00 PM ET. The show is divided into four parts and will air on two more Sundays. You can watch the new episode on Showtime’s official website.
