Are you ready for the new season of Virgin River, romance lovers?! The Netflix Original has certainly built up a solid fanbase since premiering back in 2019, with people loving the dynamic between Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson), along with the quirky characters of the fictional California town. Apart from the characters you learn to love and the storylines that keep you on the edge of your seat, Virgin River also features some gorgeous views.
Set in the titular town which is supposed to be in Northern California, the series includes landscapes of mountains, lakes, and a lot of woods. It’s a small town where everyone knows each other’s business, but it’s a price nearly everyone is willing to pay to live in such a beautiful location.
Mel leaves her life in Los Angeles after a tragedy to start new in Virgin River. While we know it’s supposed to be in California, the series isn’t actually filmed in that area. In fact, it’s not even filmed in the United States at all!

Just like previous seasons, Virgin River season 3 was filmed in different locations of Vancouver, Canada. If you’re a television buff, you might know that Canadian filming locations are very common for American series. As reported by Tourism Vancouver, popular shows such as The Good Doctor, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Riverdale, Bates Motel, and many more have all been filmed in the British Columbia city.
The gorgeous scenery is definitely a huge part of the Netflix show, and it’s a huge change for Mel who is used to city life.
