White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt gestures during a press briefing at the White House

The White House on Tuesday accused Democrats of using convicted pedophile Jeffery Epstein’s victims as ‘political pawns’ to attack the president, after a copy of an alleged old lewd birthday message was made public.

Documents released by the Epstein estate to Congress included a book of birthday  letters and notes from famous people to Epstein in 2005 to mark his 50th birthday.

Democrats on the Oversight Committee then released the president’s alleged note to Epstein.

A photo of the note features a message to Epstein as an ‘enigma’ and features a drawing of a curvaceous woman around the text and appears to bear Trump’s signature.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt repeated the president’s claim that it was a false signature.

‘The president did not write that letter, he did not sign those documents, he maintains that position,’ she said.

Leavitt said Trump cared about all victims of crimes, including the Epstein victims.

‘That’s why Republicans in the Trump Department of Justice have done more in terms of transparency when it comes to the Epstein case than any prior administration,’ Leavitt said in response to a question from the Daily Mail.

The White House holds a press briefing with reporters to address questions about the Epstein files.

She accused Democrats like Rep. Ro Khanna, who are pushing for Congress release all of the Epstein files doing it for political reasons to hurt the president.

Leavitt pointed out that Khanna and other Democrats did not care about releasing the Epstein files when former President Joe Biden was in power.

‘Unfortunately, the Democrats are using victims as political pawns to try to smear and push a hoax against the president of the United States,’ she said.

Nearly a dozen victims of Epstein’s abuse appeared at a press conference on Capitol Hill earlier this month to speak publicly and call for the release of the files.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has urged the president to meet with the victims in the Oval Office.

Leavitt sidestepped a question about whether President Trump was willing to meet with Epstein’s victims, telling reporters she had no meetings to reveal to the press.

A White House official told the Daily Mail after the briefing that the Trump administration had arrested 1,900 child predators and had identified 2,500 children and located 2,200 child victims since he first took office.

President Trump has denied that he sent the birthday letter to Epstein and declined to comment on the letter in a conversation with NBC News.

‘I don’t comment on something that’s a dead issue. I gave all comments to the staff. It’s a dead issue,’ Trump said.

Leavitt also dismissed newly revealed birthday note in Epstein’s book that featured a photo of Epstein holding a large check signed by ‘DJ Trump’ for a ‘fully depreciated woman’ who’s name was redacted.

‘Jeffrey showing early talents with money + women! Sells “fully depreciated” [redacted name] to Donald Trump,’ the note from someone read.

Leavitt told reporters that the signature on the image of the check was not at all like the president’s familiar scrawl and that he did not recognize the woman in the note.
