An amusement park in Missouri was evacuated following reports of possible gunfire, according to the Kansas City Police Department.
An off-duty officer working at the Worlds of Fun theme park was notified around 9:10 p.m. by a patron who reported hearing what sounded like gunshots, KCTV5 reported.
Police from several agencies responded because of the number of people at the park, according to KSHB.
However, as per KCPD’s latest report, the department said there is nothing indicating any shots were fired.
The department added that there were ‘multiple disturbances officers broke up,’ because of ‘several juveniles fighting.’
Following evacuation orders, parkgoers were seen scrambling, with many turning to social media to share the chaos.
‘Oh my god. Everybody has to run, oh my god. C’mon everyone has to run. I’m so scared,’ one parkgoer posted on Facebook, as they were seen running through the frantic scene.
