Whew! Just when the internet thought it had Young Thug figured out, the rapper has stepped forward with something to say. After days of social media chatter, side-eyes, and a whole lotta assumptions surrounding those alleged leaked jail calls, Thugger is finally speaking out. And, he’s got a message for the people and the rap game. The streets (and timelines) have been talking, dissecting every word from those recordings, but Thug isn’t letting the rumors—or the internet detectives—run the narrative.

Young Thug Seemingly Addresses Leaked Call Drama
On Wednesday, Young Thug used social media to seemingly address the backlash surrounding a series of alleged jail phone calls that leaked online. While he didn’t confirm the authenticity of the recordings, Thug hinted that he’s aware of the conversations being circulated and the criticism that followed. Additionally, he emphasized that all the bashing and fake narratives will only mess up the rap community even more.
“Bashing me only goin f*ck that rap community up more, I’m the blue to this fake a** game,” Young Thug shared to X.
What Is The Alleged, Leaked Jail Call About?
Now, before y’all start connecting too many dots, let’s make one thing clear. This is all alleged audio, and nothing has been officially confirmed. IF the leaked jail calls are real, though, it sounds like Thugger laid out exactly why he feels betrayed by Gunna’s plea deal in the YSL RICO case. According to the alleged audio, Thug’s main issue is Gunna claiming YSL is a gang and that he knew people committing crimes for it — which Thug reportedly denies, saying Gunna only knew him, Duke, and Yak Gotti, and none of them were involved in criminal activity. It’s also alleged that Gunna’s statement may have helped turn the situation into a full-blown RICO case.
But Thugger didn’t just stop at the legal stuff. He allegedly threw jabs at Gunna for taking the plea for a woman and some money, which had the internet clutching their pearls. In another part of the call, 21 Savage apparently tried to defend Gunna’s past move — when he distanced himself from drugs and guns found in a car with Thug — but that just led to more tension. Thug allegedly expressed how hurt he was that artists like Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and Future cut ties before he even had a chance to speak out.
Why Are Kendrick Fans Coming After Him?
During the leaked calls, Thugger had more to say. And, he didn’t mince words when it came to rappers who think they’re too good to collaborate. Furthermore, many fans think the shots were aimed straight at Kendrick Lamar. He called out artists with massive success who act like they’re above doing features, saying that mentality is damaging the culture. In the latest leaked audio, Thugger reportedly calls out Kendrick Lamar for not giving him a feature on his 2023 album ‘Business Is Business.’
“You supposed to be a ni**a blessing ni**as,” Thug allegedly said. “That’s why these ni***s will never be bigger than Drake, ever in life.”

Social Media Doesn’t Know What To Think
Social media is torn over the Young Thug jail call drama, and the comment section under his post is looking real divided. Some fans are begging Thug to patch things up with Gunna and “talk it out like brothers.” While others say the situation is getting messier by the day. Meanwhile, a few are still standing ten toes down on calling him a rat, and the rest? They just want him to drop new music and get back to the booth.
But you was bashing Gunna? You just don’t like that the shoe is on your foot now.
