Ahead of his first press conference in months, President Joe Biden’s job approval rating dipped to record lows, signaling that a majority of Americans are more than fed up with skyrocketing inflation, tyrannical COVID policies, and rising crime facilitated under the current administration.

A new Gallup poll released this week suggests that 56 percent of Americans disapprove of Biden’s job as president so far. A Politico/Morning Consult poll also signaled that Biden only garnered a 40 percent job approval rate with U.S. adults, a record low for him.

The polls also indicated that Biden wrenched the title for most polarizing president from former President Donald Trump. Since assuming office in January of 2021, Biden’s average approval among Democrats was 91 percent but only a mere 8 percent among Republicans.

Biden averaged approximately a 46 percent approval rate among independents in 2021, signaling less independent support than any other U.S. president in their first years in office.

“All other first-year presidents enjoyed job approval of close to 50% or higher among those who identified with the opposition party,” Gallup reported. “And nearly all averaged approval ratings of 80% or higher among supporters of their party.”

“All but Clinton, Trump, and Biden had majority approval among political independents,” Gallup added.

This backsliding approval among independents, which started in the high 50s and has dropped to 33 percent, is concerning for Democrats, who hope to make up ground in the looming 2022 midterms.

It also signals trouble for Biden, who — as one of the nation’s most unpopular presidents in 80 years — is failing to connect with voters despite his attempts to push the Democrat agenda forward.

Biden’s upcoming press conference on Wednesday afternoon is just another example of how the president is out of touch with Americans. After delaying a formal question and answer session for months, Biden will finally face a room of corporate media reporters who will have a chance to ask the president some of the key questions on voters’ minds.

Unfortunately, given the White House press pool’s track record of asking partisan, slanted questions, we may not get any questions that actually matter to voters.
