Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) attacked Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for her stance against sending $40 billion to the other side of the world while the U.S. is in a worsening economic crisis. Greene sounded the alarm about the enormous foreign aid giveaway being pushed through the House, but it sailed through the lower chamber of Congress with unanimous support from leftist House Democrats and from all but 57 Republicans — with Crenshaw being in favor of the $40 billion foreign aid package.

The back-and-forth began when Crenshaw posted a tweet about the drug epidemic and border crisis that are harming American citizens within our own borders. One user responded to Crenshaw’s tweet by pointing out his lack of action on such domestic issues while sending vast American resources to a foreign nation, replying, “Yea you sound off about that stuff but then you vote yes on the $40 billion to Ukraine,” to which Crenshaw made a very telling reply.

Crenshaw, seemingly oblivious to what he was saying, responded to the Twitter user, Chigg Bungus, saying that it was a good idea to destroy “our adversary’s military, without losing a single American troop.” The clear inference here being that it’s a good idea to have Ukrainians die to deplete Russia’s military.

Rep. Greene saw the exchange and blasted Crenshaw for his immoral and unethical statement, quote tweeting Crenshaw and rebuking him for his terrible take on the issue. Greene replied, “You speak as if Ukrainian lives should be thrown away, as if they have no value. Just used and thrown away. For your proxy war? How does this help Americans? How does any of this help?”

Crenshaw responded with what should let everybody know exactly where he stands. After years of false accusations from the left about Russian collusion and Putin’s control over Republicans, Crenshaw went right to the left’s mantra, implying the congresswoman was seeking a “slot on Russia Today” when she objected to sending $40 billion to a foreign nation while Americans are suffering at home.

A Christian conservative would have taken a moment to consider Greene’s incredibly reasonable questions about about Crenshaw’s heartless framing of the situation in Ukraine. But Crenshaw, despite his claims to the contrary, is not a Christian, having publicly referred in the past to Jesus Christ as a “societal hero archetype,” comparing Him to fictional characters, like “Superman.”

Christianity is a tool for Crenshaw, as are most of the things he purports to believe in. He stands opposed to conservatism on a vast array of issues, and this is the root of the disconnect.

Crenshaw has never seen a war he didn’t like. He stood with Democrats and RINOs in their fight against former President Donald Trump when he tried to pull troops out of Syria and has consistently supported a neoconservative foreign policy, one that Democrats, like Joe Biden, and leftist billionaires, like George Soros, are in almost full agreement on.

And, in his tweet, he reveals just how little he values human life, and it’s not the first time; Crenshaw declared in 2021 that, “Everyone who has ever screamed, ‘no more endless wars’ as their foreign policy is a friggin’ idiot.”

But everyone who has ever read the Afghanistan Papers would likely pause before the same chorus of sirens that have so often misled Americans leaves us all shipwrecked on a foreign shore. Crenshaw is a salesman, and MTG isn’t sold.

And while Crenshaw was busy pitching recycled lines from Bill Kristol and Hillary Clinton, Greene spoke for the millions of Americans who are and will be suffering as a result of increasing hostilities in Ukraine — the taxpayers actually funding this massive foreign aid package. And not only is the Biden administration working to increase those hostilities, but RINOs in Congress are joining Democrats to send $40 billion of Americans’ money — money that could be used to help alleviate the situation for Americans to Ukraine.

Despite Crenshaw’s facile understanding of U.S. national security, the conflict in Ukraine is expected to cause a great deal of suffering in the U.S. and around the world. According to Goya President and CEO Bob Unanue, Russia and Ukraine together account for 50% of the world’s fertilizer, 30% of the world’s wheat, 20% of the world’s corn and many other foods and important minerals. The planting season is being severely impacted by the war, which will necessarily result in smaller harvests. And the shortage of fertilizer will cause a variety of negative impacts in the international food supply.

Europe also gets between 30% and 41% of its gas imports from Russia, which will almost certainly be cut off if Europeans increase their involvement.

A prolonged conflict in Ukraine, which is exactly what sending billions in military aid will accomplish, will, as Crenshaw soullessly explained, cost the lives of Russian troops. It will cost the lives of far more Ukrainians. And, between fuel shortages and the predicted food shortages that will result from the conflict, Crenshaw’s stance on this issue presents the real threat to our national security.

As Crenshaw himself said while attacking the House Freedom Caucus, “There’s two types of members of Congress: there’s performance artists [and] there’s legislators … we have grifters in our midst.” And Crenshaw is the grifter. He’s a liberal posing as a conservative and attacking real conservatives for putting this country first.

Fortunately, conservatives are no longer buying what people like Crenshaw are selling.

Greene has a much better understanding of foreign policy than America-last Dan Crenshaw. She’s clearly the future of the Republican Party. But wolves in sheep’s clothing, like Crenshaw, need to be removed as quickly as possible.
