A blistering start from Birmingham City saw off high-flying QPR thanks to first half goals from defender Auston Trusty and a long-range effort from Emmanuel Longelo in the Championship on Friday evening at St. Andrews.
Trusty opened the scoring after just four minutes after a bizarre backheel went in over Hoops goalkeeper Seny Dieng, after his punch from a Tahith Chong cross only reached the edge of the box.
Longelo then doubled the hosts’ lead on 29 minutes after turning Ethan Laird inside out before finishing on his right foot from outside the box, with his bobbling effort trickling past Dieng into the bottom right corner.
