West Ham striker Nicolas Fullkrug is attracting interest from Wolfsburg and Augsburg as the Premier League club look to cut their losses in January.
The 32-year old has failed to make an impact since his high profile £27million transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2024 and will be allowed to leave in the winter window to help fund more forward options for Nuno Espírito Santo.
Germany international Fullkrug, who has scored just three goals in 24 appearances, is also attracting interest from clubs in Italy as his agents try to find him a new club for a fresh start ahead of the World Cup.
Fullkrug has been hindered by calf and hamstring injuries since arriving from the Bundesliga with the reputation of a robust forward. He is also one of the club’s highest earners so his departure will release funds to strengthen elsewhere.
West Ham have been scouring the market for new forwards with the likes of Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee among their ambitious targets.
However, the reality is they may struggle to attract the quality they desire in the next window.
