Chelsea have completed the signing of Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund for £55million.
The 20-year-old winger has signed a seven-year contract to add to Enzo Maresca’s attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
Gittens, who has eleven caps for England at Under-21 level, expressed his excitement after securing his move to Stamford Bridge.
He told the club’s official website: ‘It feels great. It’s a great feeling to join such a big club as Chelsea.
‘I can’t wait to learn from everyone in the team and to push myself to the max here. It’s an amazing feeling.’
It has been a busy summer in the transfer market already for Chelsea, with a host of players joining the club.

Joao Pedro signed from Brighton, while Liam Delap joined from Ipswich Town.
There have been further arrivals, with Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sar also joining the club.
Gittens, who was born in England, spent time at Chelsea’s academy when he was very young and also played for Reading and Manchester City at youth level.
He signed for Dortmund in 2020 and made his Bundesliga debut against Wolfsburg in April 2022.
Gittens proceeded to play 107 senior games for Dortmund, while he scored 17 goals and provided 14 assists.
Chelsea are through to the semi-finals of the Club World Cup following a 2-1 victory against Palmeiras.
Maresca’s team will take on another Brazilian side in the last four in Fluminense.
