Fans spot the moment Vincent Kompany showed the standards he expects at Bayern Munich as new manager stops training after star gives the ball away

  • Vincent Kompany has begun pre-season as new manager of Bayern Munich
  • The former Man City captain is laying down the law at his new club
  • He stepped in to show he will not put up with even one misplaced pass

Vincent Kompany has shown the he will be running a tight ship at Bayern Munich.

Kompany had been expected to remain with Burnley following their relegation from the Premier League but Bayern Munich somewhat shockingly swooped to bring the former Man City captain in as their new manager,

Burnley did not stand in the way of such an opportunity with Bayern giving the club an acceptable compensation fee.

And fans have quickly clocked that Kompany will be maintaining high standards at his new club.

A clip from training did the rounds on social media, showing the Belgian laying down the law.

Midfielder Leon Goretska attempted to play the ball through the defence but his weak pass was intercepted.

Kompany was clearly unimpressed, immediately stopping the session to let the German no that his play was unacceptable.

The fan who posted the clip wrote: ‘as soon as Goretzka lost the ball, Vincent Kompany made everyone stop training.

‘Kompany isn’t used to playing or working with players who treat the ball like a grenade.’

The moment received mixed reviews on  X with many suggesting Kompany should be used to it after managing a team that was relegated last season.

One posted that ‘he managed Burnley… he absolutely is used to it’ while another wrote ‘he managed Burnley, I’m pretty sure he is.’
