Tyrell Malacia has been given the chance to revive his Manchester United career after being reintegrated into Ruben Amorim’s first team squad.
The 26-year-old defender was part of a bomb squad this summer, who trained away from the first team squad and were left off the Red Devils pre-season tour to the United States.
Amorim had insisted the group of five players, which included Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho, all wanted to leave the club.
Rashford and Sancho left on loan to Barcelona and Aston Villa respectively, while Antony and Garnancho secured permanent moves to Real Betis and Chelsea.
Malacia, however, was unable to secure a move with a loan switch to Spanish side Elche collapsing on deadline day. A mooted move to Turkey, who had a later September 12 deadline, also failed to materialise.
The Dutchman had been training alone as he searched for a move, but has since been part the Under-21 set-up at Carrington.

Ruben Amorim had vowed to reintegrate bomb squad stars who failed to secure a move
Mail Sport understands Malacia has now been fully reintegrated into the first-team set-up by Amorim.
The Man United boss had pledged over the summer to bring bomb squad players back into the fold in the event they did not secure moves away.
‘We are just allowing these players to have time to think and to decide,’ he said. ‘If we reach a point where they have to join the team, they will join the team because they are our players,’ Amorim said in July.
‘I’m ready to receive the players. They have more competition (for places at United). If you want to play in the World Cup next year you need to play, so I’m really happy with that because I have more options.
‘If they have to fight each other to play, for me it’s perfect.’
Malacia had made 39 appearances in all competitions during his debut season at Man United back in 2022-23, after being signed from Feyenoord by Erik ten Hag for £14.6m.
The full back then spent 18 months on the sidelines following a meniscus tear, with a botched surgery leading to him requiring another, setting back his rehabilitation.
Malacia made eight appearances for Man United last season, before joining PSV Eindhoven on loan in January.

The full back had helped PSV claim the Dutch title last season following a loan move
He played 12 times for PSV as they stunningly overcame a 12-point deficit to Ajax to claim the Dutch title.
Malacia’s return to first team training comes with pressure growing on Amorim amid Man United’s disappointing start to the season.
The Red Devils slumped to a 3-1 defeat by Brentford on Saturday, with the result leaving Amorim’s side 14th in the Premier League table.
Man United have won two, drawn one and lost three of their league matches to date, while they were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two side Grimsby Town.
