Back in September, reality star Olivia Attwood revealed that she and footballer husband Bradley Dack had separate bank accounts, claiming that sharing finances was a ‘really outdated way of thinking’.
Maybe that was a sign of what was to come.
The writing has been on the wall for some time, and on Sunday, it was reported that Olivia, 34, and Bradley, 32, who got married in 2023, are going their separate ways after struggling to recover from what sources say was a ‘really bad summer’.
Since news emerged that they are heading for divorce, the former Love Island star has unfollowed the footballer on Instagram, moved into a flat in London, and removed her wedding ring.
And now when you look back at the comments Olivia made regarding the couple’s finances following a turbulent summer, it is clear to see that the relationship was heading in the wrong direction.
‘I think it’s really important to keep your own finances and your own bank account,’ she told The Mirror in September. ‘And I don’t think you need to combine finances with your partner at all.

Olivia has been hugely successful in recent years, which may be a reason for her wanting to protect her finances
The reality TV sensation has become one of the hottest properties on British TV, dominating ITV’s schedule with spots on Loose Women, This Morning.
She is also the face of Bad Boyfriends, Getting Filthy Rich, and The Price Of Perfection, for which she was reportedly paid £350,000 per series.
Since starring on The Only Way Is Essex and I’m A Celebrity, she has landed a weekly spot on Kiss FM Radio with Pete Wicks and has launched her own podcast, Olivia’s House.
Just last year, Olivia revealed she received multiple offers from US bosses after her shows found global success on streaming giant Disney+.
Speaking to Daily Mail, the presenter said she has ‘had offers’ from bosses across the pond, and hopes that with the help of her new international fanbase, she could take her career global.
That being said, while Olivia has been shining on television sets across the country and beyond, making significant money, having a separate account from her now estranged husband isn’t necessarily because he is strapped for cash.
Former Love Island star Olivia is believed to have a net worth of £6.1m after a successful 2025
Dack’s career may have had its ups and downs during the seven years he has been back with Olivia; however, he is believed to still have a net worth of £5.1million thanks to weekly wages earned during his time at both Sunderland and Blackburn.
The midfielder spent just one season on Wearside – the 2023-24 campaign – before re-joining his current club Gillingham, who play in League Two in the English football pyramid.
It is understood to have earned a staggering £18,000-a-week while at the Black Cats, according to Salary Sport, which amounts to just under £1m accrued over the course of a year.
Reports also suggest that he was on £11,300 per week at the back end of his six-year stint at Blackburn Rovers, which was blighted by injury.
These days, Dack is rumoured to earn £3,500 per week at Gillingham, having signed a contract extension last summer, which means he racks up a salary of £182,000.
While his current earnings are significantly lower than Olivia’s, who is claimed to have previously charged £3,100 for just a single post to her 2.5m Instagram followers, the money he has made throughout his 14-year career puts him just £900k below her estimated net worth of £6m.
The couple first met in 2015, two years before Olivia signed up to Love Island after discovering Bradley had cheated during the early months of their romance.
They later reconciled months after Olivia’s fling with former co-star Chris Hughes ended, and Bradley proposed during a romantic Dubai getaway in 2019.
Dack was believed to have earned £18k per week during one season at Sunderland before moving to Gillingham in 2024
The midfielder is reported to have a net worth of £5.1m, not much lower than Attwood’s, and currently earns around £3.5k per week playing football in League Two
Olivia has previously clapped back at the stigma of being a WAG, insisting she can fund her own lavish lifestyle without any help from her footballer husband, as proven by her net worth and recent television success.
Sources now claim that, two years after tying the knot at London’s Bulgari Hotel, the relationship is ‘over for good’ and the pair are heading towards divorce.
‘Olivia and Bradley have had a long relationship full of ups and downs,’ a source revealed. ‘They have always managed to overcome any problems between them, including distance, their busy careers, and, in the past, betrayals from Bradley’s side.
‘But after meeting over a decade ago, Bradley’s recent breach of trust, which came as a complete shock to Olivia, has led them to end their marriage.
‘After being on and off at the start of their romance, some people have questioned whether this breakup is temporary, but it’s definitely not.
‘Olivia knows now is the time to move on for good, and while it’s heartbreaking for her, she believes it’s the only way to end their marriage on the best terms possible.’
The couple moved out of their Cheshire home in December, sparking fears their relationship was in an even worse state than Olivia had previously suggested.
However, the plan was for them to buy a new property closer to London following Bradley’s move to Gillingham and Olivia’s increasingly busy schedule, which requires her to be in the capital regularly.
