Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and his deputy Giovanni Manna were at the Etihad Stadium to continue their English scouting mission last night.

Juventus want a midfielder for the January window with Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli facing lengthy suspensions.

The Turin club’s delegation watched Tottenham’s thriller with Chelsea on Monday night, took in Manchester City against Young Boys last night and plan to watch Arsenal against Sevilla tonight.

They will also hold a number of meetings to see which midfielders are available and to ascertain price.

City’s Kalvin Phillips has been linked with Juventus and is considering a potential loan move away in January but the Italian club’s priority is a more attacking midfielder at this stage.
