Both Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are working on a deal for Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund want to re-sign Manchester United exile Jadon Sancho on loan until the end of the season.

Sancho has been frozen out of first team matters by head coach Erik ten Hag following their infamous falling out after the defeat to Arsenal in September.

But Sancho is on the radar of his his former club, who want to conclude a loan return for their ex-forward.

It is understood that the 23-year-old is open to returning to Dortmund this season, a move the would mark the end of a difficult few months for Sancho, whose relationship with Ten Hag appears broken beyond repair.

It remains to be seen whether United are open to loaning Sancho this month, but Dortmund are prepared to wrap a deal quickly if the terms are right with initial discussions underway.

Sancho has made just three appearances this season owing to his disagreement with Ten Hag.

The United head coach, following the 3-1 loss at the Emirates, said that Sancho was left out of his squad for the game because he had performed poorly in training during the week.

However, Sancho later took to social media to say his manager’s remarks were ‘completely untrue’. He hasn’t played or trained with the first-team since.

Sancho was a popular player amongst the Dortmund fanbase before his £73million move to Old Trafford in 2021 and his return to the Champions League club will be welcomed by fans.
