Newcastle United have completed the signing of Nottingham Forest forward Anthony Elanga.
The 23-year-old has joined for £55million on a long-term deal and is Eddie Howe’s first major addition of the summer.
The Swedish international will boost Newcastle’s attacking ranks as they return to the Champions League next season.
Elanga scored six times and claimed 11 assists for Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest side last season as they qualified for Europe.

Elanga’s shirt number will be decided during pre-season.
The winger joined Forest for £15m in 2023 on a five-year deal and has scored 11 times in 82 appearances.
Manchester United, his former club, are also owed an estimated 15 per cent of the profit from any sale.

He joined United aged 12 before making his Premier League debut in 2021, going on to make 39 league appearances for the Red Devils, scoring three times.
The 23-year-old will link up with international team-mate Alexander Isak at St James’ Park, while his best friend is William Osula, Newcastle’s back-up striker.
Elanga has already scored four goals in 22 senior appearances for Sweden.
Last season the Swede featured in all 38 of Nottingham Forest’s Premier League fixtures, recording the league’s third highest number of assists.
His 20 assists for Forest over the past two seasons ranked only behind Mohamed Salah and Ollie Watkins.
Elanga’s arrival comes as a welcome boost Newcastle confirmed that Callum Wilson would be leaving after five years at the club.
The 33-year-old scored 49 goals at the club but departed after the expiry of his contract.
Newcastle also hope to sign a goalkeeper, centre-back and a forward this window.
