‘NFL fans are getting a crash course in the English football pyramid’.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, invested in Birmingham in August 2023.

Birmingham’s confirmation of promotion to the second tier comes after broke the League One spending record last summer after forking out £30m on signings.

That is around 22 times more than the second biggest-spending club, Peterborough, according to Transfermarkt.

Upon taking his 3.3 per cent stake in Birmingham City, Brady said they are ‘an iconic club with so much history’ and that it was a ‘real honour’ to join them.

He added: ‘Birmingham City is built on teamwork and determination and I’m excited to work alongside the board, management and players to make our second city club second to none.

‘I’ve been part of some amazing teams in my day, and I’m looking forward to applying my perspective to create that same success here in Birmingham.’
