Following the news of his departure from Juventus, Paul Pogba has published an emotional farewell message on social media swearing an ‘unforgettable’ bond with the club’s supporters.

Pogba’s second stint at Juventus has come to a close with the player currently sitting out a doping ban – which was reduced earlier this season – after just 12 appearances in two seasons.

He is yet to play a minute of the current campaign, as a result of the doping ban he was hit with from September last year, but is thought to have offers for his next club on the table.

Mail Sport has reported that a host of clubs throughout Europe, the Middle East and the MLS have an interest in Pogba.

Wherever it is that Pogba does end up, however, he has promised Juventus fans that he will take ‘all the affection you have given me’ with him, as part of a heartfelt message to the Bianconeri’s fanbase.

‘There are times when things don’t go as we would like, but one thing is certain: the bond I have with you, dear fans, will remain unforgettable,’ he wrote on Instagram.

The French midfielder leaves Juventus after playing only 12 games in his second stint at the club

‘You have given me so much, more than I can express in words, and I will always carry with me all the affection you have given me.

‘You will forever be in my heart. Good luck.’

As Mail Sport revealed last month, Pogba and the Italian club had been locked in talks over ending his contract.

Pogba’s initial four-year ban was reduced to just 18 months back in October, as Mail Sport exclusively revealed.

As such, the World Cup winner is free to play from March 2025, so could end the season back on the pitch, should a club be willing to take a chance on a player that has not touched grass in over a year.

At his peak, Pogba was one of the most exciting and dynamic midfielders in Europe, and was a huge part of the French side that beat the world in 2018.

His exceptional range of passing and pinpoint accuracy saw him pique the interest of the rest of Europe’s elite during his first stint with Juve.

However, he would return to Manchester United where he had come through the youth ranks before moving to Turin and The Old Lady, though his return to Old Trafford never really reached the heights anticipated.

In announcing the news of his departure, the Italian giants wrote: ‘Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have reached a mutual agreement for the termination of their contract as of 30 November, 2024. The club wishes Paul the very best for his professional future.’

Pogba was facing potential retirement from football had CAS upheld his four year suspension after testing positive for DHEA, a substance that boosts testosterone.

However, the 31-year-old has started planning the restart of his career after the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled he inadvertently took the banned substance.

In confirming the reduction in Pogba’s ban, the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled Pogba can recommence training in January 2025. His original €5,000 fine was also set aside.
