Pep Guardiola has told Manchester City to seize history on Sunday by telling his players that they will never find themselves in this position again.

City can clinch a fourth Premier League title in a row by equalling Arsenal’s result against Everton when West Ham travel to the Etihad.

No team in English football have ever achieved that feat, with Guardiola’s side primed to go down in the pantheon of greats should they finish the job.

‘Everybody knows what we are playing for,’ Guardiola said. ‘None of us will get the chance to win four in a row again, it is impossible.

‘It won’t happen again in our life. We have to live it and enjoy it.’

Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insisted lifting the club’s first Premier League title in 20 years is ‘doable’ because of the potential West Ham have to thwart City.

Arteta, who played for Hammers boss David Moyes at Everton, said: ‘Hopefully it’s not a miracle.

‘It’s something that is doable, it can happen and especially knowing the quality of West Ham and how they prepare for matches, it’s something that can happen. We need them, that’s for sure.’

Asked if he believes in miracles, the Spaniard replied ‘yes’, before breaking into a wide grin.
