A disgruntled Pep Guardiola launched into intense discussions with Bruno Guimaraes, match officials and even a cameraman after Manchester City’s defeat to Newcastle on Saturday night.
The City boss, 54, cut an irate figure after watching his side fall to a 2-1 Premier League loss at St James’ Park thanks to a second-half brace from Harvey Barnes.
It was match full of controversy, with City furious that they were not awarded a first-half penalty when Phil Foden was on the receiving end of a heavy tackle by Fabian Schar.
There were also question marks over whether Gianluigi Donnarumma had been fouled before Barnes’ second goal, as well as Guimaraes potentially being offside in the build-up.
Despite City feeling they had been hard done-by, the goal stood and proved to be the decisive blow in a blockbuster affair in the North East.
But Guardiola appeared furious after the match and entered a back-and-forth with Guimaraes before speaking with referee Sam Barott and his assistants. The 54-year-old was then snapped giving a cameraman an earful.

Asked by the BBC post-match about his words with the match officials, Guardiola did not give much away.
‘No questions, everything is fine,’ he said.
He also told Sky Sports of his discussions with Guimaraes: ‘I said how good he is (but that conversation) is for private situations. Everything is fine.’
Barnes’ brace was a sucker punch for City, who had hoped to put pressure on title rivals Arsenal ahead of their north London derby on Sunday afternoon.
They had positive spells in the game and could, and possibly should, have scored before they eventually did on the 68th-minute.
The loss, however, means City drop to third in the league behind Chelsea, who won 2-0 away to Burnley in Saturday’s early kick-off.
