A new study has named Lamine Yamal as football's most valuable teenager at £308m

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal tops a list of the most valuable teenagers in world football, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham among the club’s with stars in the top 10.

The CIES Football Observatory, which uses a statistical model for estimating transfer values, has published rankings featuring players who are yet to reach their 20th birthday.

Yamal, 18, tops the rankings with the Spain international having been valued at a staggering £308million.

The teenager has already established himself as one of the best players in the world, shown by his second placed ranking in this year’s Ballon d’Or behind Ousmane Dembele.

Yamal has already played 116 times for Barcelona to date, scoring 30 goals and providing 40 assists, while he has already won two LaLiga titles and the European Championship with Spain.

In the summer, Yamal signed a six-year contract extension which came with a reported significant pay rise.

According to the statisticians, Yamal’s value is nearly three times higher than the next most valuable teenager, with Chelsea youngster Estevao estimated at being worth £104m.

The Brazilian has enjoyed a bright start to life with the Blues having scored four times in 15 appearances to date, after the 18-year-old officially joined by £29m in the summer from Palmeiras.

Another Barcelona youngster Pau Cubarsi and Real Madrid’s Franco Mastantuono, who joined from River Plate in the summer follow at £99.2m and £90m.

PSG midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery completes the top five at £81.2m.

Arsenal have two youngsters included in the top 10, reflecting the impressive work of their academy.

Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, who are close friends having come through their Hale End set-up, are valued at £77.5m and £74.6m respectively having established themselves in the first team set up.

Lewis-Skelly has already broken into the England squad and earned six caps, while Nwaneri is expected to follow having helped the Under-21s win the European Championship title in the summer.

Sporting Lisbon winger Geovany Quenda, who is joining Chelsea next summer, follows at a value of £70.5m.

Lucas Bergvall has been valued at £60m after becoming a first team regular at Tottenham

His valuation would indicate the Blues have struck an impressive deal with the Premier League side having reportedly agreed to pay £40m to land the winger on a seven-year deal.

Despite falling down the pecking order at Real Madrid, Brazilian forward Endrick is included in the top 10 with a valuation of £64.4m. 

Tottenham’s Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall completes the top 10 with a valuation of £60m.

Bergvall has played 60 times for Tottenham already since joining the club from Swedish side Djurgarden for a reported £8.5m in the summer of 2024.

Chelsea’s Jorrel Hato, Tottenham’s Archie Gray, Man United’s Leny Yoro and Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi are among other notable names in the top 20.

The latter has enjoyed a breakthrough for the Cherries in recent weeks, with the 19-year-old having scored four goals in his seven Premier League appearances to date.
