Harry Kane could reportedly be offered an 'unbelievable' sum by Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal

One of football’s moneybag clubs is reportedly willing to pay Harry Kane a mega sum to abandon Bayern Munich.

Kane has been in stellar form this season, scoring 17 goals in nine games to put Bayern top of the Bundesliga and the Champions League league phase.

There has been some speculation over his future due to his contract expiring in 2027 and last month we shared reports of Kane having a £56.7million release clause, so long as he announces his intention to go in the winter.

The 32-year-old is continuing to topple records, with his scoring antics meaning he is the fastest man ever to reach 100 goals for a club in Europe’s top five leagues. He notched a century for Bayern in just 104 games, beating Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo’s previous record of 105.

And all this has piqued the interest of Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, who are willing to offer him an ‘unbelievable’ sum, according to Bild Sport.

The German paper claims Al-Hilal wanted to pay him a whopping £261m for a three-year deal back in 2023 when he was departing Tottenham. Such a gargantuan sum could still be on the table.

It is, frankly, an almost unimaginable figure – around £1.7m per week.

But money is no object to these sides in the Middle East, with Cristiano Ronaldo reported to be on a basic salary of £492m over two years after renewing his deal with Al-Nassr over the summer. A casual £488,000 every 24 hours.

Bild’s claim has some support. Back in 2023, Sky Sports also reported that Al-Hilal submitted a bid for Kane.

Kane’s priority at the time was sporting ambition and winning trophies, a pursuit which worked out last season as he lifted the Bundesliga. He added the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup over the summer.

But with that monkey off his back, Bild claim the trophy-winning ambition might not feature so heavily in his decision over his next club if he eventually leaves Bayern.

If sporting targets do mean something to him, a return to the Premier League would be tempting at some stage for a go and breaking Alan Shearer’s goalscoring record.

Kane left Spurs on 213, 47 off Shearer’s long-standing record of 260.

And could you put that past him at his current rate of scoring? Only one other man has reached 17 goals in nine games in a season besides him, and that was Erling Haaland at RB Salzburg in 2019-20, not even in a top-five league.

That said, Kane is loving life in Bavaria with his wife Kate and their four kids. In May he said: ‘My family are totally here.

‘You know, I think in football, in life, you never know what’s around the corner. But for me, I’m really happy here in Munich. My family has settled down. My kids are loving it here in school, so yes, this is my life here for the foreseeable future.

‘I love the manager. I love the team here. I think we’re only just getting started, to watch the movie, a really successful period for this club, and I want to be a big part of that. So who knows how many years, but for sure, I want to be here for a while.’
