Trent Alexander-Arnold has been spotted with his Liverpool team-mates out for a pre-match walk ahead of their Merseyside derby clash against Everton, with the Reds star reportedly set to start despite being involved in a car crash on Friday.

Reports in The Sun claimed the England and Liverpool star had a serious scare while driving yesterday as a 40ft electricity pylon crashed onto a car in front of the his Range Rover when he was out in 70mph winds.

The 25-year-old was out driving on a wet rural road near Knutsford, Cheshire when he had to swerve to avoid the high-voltage power unit and collided with a BMW X5 in doing so.

It was a near-miss for Alexander-Arnold as the electrical pylon lay scrapped on the road’s banking, with the huge infrastructure capable of inflicting serious damage if it had fallen on the footballer’s luxury vehicle.

Despite this, the full-back was seen out and about on Saturday morning on a pre-stroll with his Liverpool team-mates ahead of the lunchtime kick off.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly starting for Liverpool against Everton today despite being involved in a high speed car crash on Friday

The power line, which weighs half a ton, careened down on top of the other vehicle at the scene with Alexander-Arnold and the BMW driver fortunately escaping the incident unhurt.

However, the England international was reportedly left shaken with a witness explaining it was a shock nobody had been killed in the startling countryside accident caused by the devastating Storm Babet sweeping across the nation.

The report went onto claim Alexander-Arnold got out of his Range Rover after slamming into the side of the BMW and checked on the other road user to make sure they were ok.

His vehicle was still seriously damaged by the accident with the £90,000 black Range Rover smashed and missing pieces of its front-left bumper, while the headlight was also broken.

Electrical wires from inside the vehicle’s bonnet were visible through remnants of the destroyed bumper with parts of the car shown to be barely hanging on as a result of the impact.

Meanwhile, the white BMW was reportedly missing a headlight that was strewn across the middle of the road with the front-left wheel sat on its rim and a huge crack in the side of the bodywork was visible.

Police were called to the scene and the electrical supply running through the huge pylon was turned off.
