Liverpool football star Diogo Jota, 28, and his brother, Andre Felipe, died in a car crash in the early hours of Jul. 3 in Zamora in northwestern Spain.

Photos and videos have since emerged showing the severity of the vehicular crash.

A motorist passing by the road in the aftermath of the crash recorded footage of the vehicular fire.

Liverpool.com subsequently published an image taken from a video showing the aftermath of the accident.

Lamborghini suffered tyre blow-out

BBC reported that Jota lost control of the Lamborghini he was driving.

The car skidded off the road due to a tyre blow-out while overtaking another vehicle.

The car then caught fire.

Spanish authorities had to use documents at the scene and the car’s licence plate to identify the victims of the crash as the vehicle was obliterated by the fire, according to CNN.

Jota leaves behind his long-term partner Rute Cardoso, with whom he had three children.

They were married just 11 days before the accident.
