Officers had to force entry into her room.
A 29-year-old Singaporean woman was arrested by officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) on Jan. 8, 2026 for suspected drug trafficking offences.
According to a CNB press release, she was arrested in a room within a condominium unit in the vicinity of West Coast Way.
This comes after an operation where forced entry was effected as the woman refused to comply with lawful orders to grant officers access into the room.
A search of the room then saw about 7,144g of cannabis, 169g of “Ice”, 9g of ketamine, 30g of “Ecstasy”, 30 Erimin-5 tablets and drug paraphernalia being seized.
CNB noted that the drugs seized are estimated to be worth more than S$94,900 and could potentially feed the addiction of 1,110 abusers for a week.
Penalties
According to CNB, under Section 5 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973, it is an offence for a person, on his or her own behalf, or on behalf of any other person, whether or not that other person is in Singapore, to traffic in a controlled drug, or offer to traffic in a controlled drug.
It is also an offence to do or offer to do any act preparatory to or for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug.
If a person is found guilty of trafficking more than 500g of cannabis, he or she may face the mandatory death penalty.
