President Donald Trump wants to clean up crime in Washington, D.C. by providing more federal agents and the National Guard to help out. Trump is trying to make the nation’s capital safer.
The Democrats should be welcoming the aid, but instead, because of their Trump Derangement Syndrome, they have to come out against it, even if that makes no sense. As is always the case with the left, what do they do next? They’re throwing down the protest card. They’re protesting an effort to make things safer. What are they going to do to make things better? Bang pots and pans.

Oh, that should do the trick. Somehow, I’m thinking that what Trump is doing is just a little more productive than this exercise in futile nonsense. What does banging pots and pans do, besides annoy the residents? The protesters aren’t helping to solve problems for the people, but they are making things worse with more noise.
The “Free DC Project” urged people to bang pots and pans for “every night of this occupation,” to sing, chant, and make noise for five minutes. They say if people then come out to ask the protesters what’s going on (likely because they’re annoyed by the noise), they’ll respond and tell them why. Please do, that’s likely to convert more people away from the left. What a counter-productive tactic. They use the term “occupation” – they’re recycling old leftist terms. They think that whatever this is constitutes “occupying” D.C. No, guys, it’s just being loud. I’m sure they will win over a lot of people by being annoying.
How is that going to change anything? And if they’re going out after 8 p.m., they’d better make sure they aren’t mugged, or they’ll find out the reality of the problem.
We covered a similar useless action by Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who was out in front of Congress banging a pot over the issues in Gaza in July. Did you notice how that brought peace in Gaza? Not. It’s the lamest protest tactic ever.

How dare Trump bring more peace and order! If he brings that, residents may realize that the Democrats have failed them after all these years and turn away from them, even in a place that has been as blue as D.C. If chaos is reduced, what then will the left have to exploit?
“Free D.C.” from what? Greater calm? Less violence and crime? The ability to walk outside at night without fear?
