Islamic terrorism continues to be a scourge on American life, with two more attacks occurring on Thursday. As RedState reported, a reportedly Lebanese Muslim rammed a car into a synagogue in Michigan and opened fire. He was thankfully neutralised by security guards before he could execute his plan for mass murder. But around that same time, another attack was taking place in Virginia.
Mohamed Jollah, a naturalised citizen from Sierra Leone, began shooting inside an ROTC classroom at Old Dominion University. While a former military officer was tragically killed in the gunfire, the attacker was taken down by students who ended up killing him in self-defence. It was quickly confirmed that Jollah was previously convicted of providing material support to ISIS, a crime that landed him only seven years in prison before he was granted early release.

It turns out that Jalloh, who apparently once served in the Army National Guard, had previously been convicted in federal court for “attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), a designated foreign terrorist organization.” He told federal officials in 2016 that he had fantasies about carrying out an attack styled on the 2009 Ft. Hood terror attack that resulted in 13 deaths.
Jalloh ultimately served seven years and 10 months of his 11-year sentence, and was released in December of 2024. He was supposed to be on five years of supervised released upon his return to society.
How does an ISIS terrorist end up enrolled at an American university instead of being denaturalised and deported upon leaving prison? That’s a question that needs to be answered. Unfortunately, no one should expect the local authorities to handle this case with the seriousness it deserves. On Thursday afternoon, Commonwealth Attorney (Virginia’s version of a DA) Ramin Fatehi gave an absolutely insane press conference where he blamed gun rights and Republican politicians for Jollah’s terrorism.

I say this with all sincerity. I actually expect this lunatic to charge the people who ended up killing Jollah, stopping the deadly rampage before it could truly begin. Would that really surprise anyone at this point?
You’ve got an Islamic terrorist trying to massacre people at a college, and Norfolk’s DA is pretending ISIS adherents simply wouldn’t kill people if not for Republicans and their pesky respect for gun rights. It’s mind-numbing to witness. It’s also depressing given that people like this hold positions of power all across the country. If you’re waiting for the left to awake from its slumber, it’s simply not going to happen. These people will do anything to obfuscate the evils of Islamism, all in the name of virtue signalling. They simply do not take these dangers seriously and never will.
I’m getting sick and tired of having to write articles like this. I’m tired of reporting on yet another person killed by an Islamist. I’m tired of talking about American cities, such as Dearborn, MI, becoming a hotbed of radicalism. I’m tired of having to do all that while half the country still insists that noticing those realities is bigotry. I don’t know how this continues. I really don’t. It feels like we’re cooked if something big doesn’t change.
