Jimmy Fallon takes aim at Trump yet again with faux interview with 'obsessed' Natalie Harp

Jimmy Fallon extended his recent run of anti-Trump comedy on Thursday’s Tonight Show with an interview featuring an entirely fictional version of White House aide Natalie Harp.

The host introduced the sketch after spending about two minutes of his opening monologue poking fun at the President’s marriage to First Lady Melania Trump, his health and the Iran War.

“Well, Trump’s personal aide Natalie Harp continues to make headlines,” Fallon said.

The 35-year-old executive assistant has attracted widespread attention since The Washington Post reported that she was among the few people permitted to join Trump on a secret flight out of Turkey last month amid an Iranian assassination threat.

“We just learned that one time she was told there wasn’t room for her in Trump’s motorcade, so she hopped in the trunk to avoid being left behind,” Fallon said, referring to an account highlighted in a subsequent CNN report about an incident in 2023.

“Here to comment is Trump’s personal aide, Natalie Harp,” Fallon announced.

An actress wearing a blonde wig then appeared on screen against a dark, mysterious background.

“Wait. I’m sorry, are you—in Trump’s trunk right now?” Fallon asked after noticing that the actress portraying Harp was nearly lying flat.

The sketch was a faux interview carried out by Fallon an entirely fictionalized version of 35-year-old White House aide Natalie Harp

“Don’t be ridiculous. That would be humiliating,” the upbeat aide replied.

“I mean, it really does look like you are, though,” Fallon persisted.

“Okay, hotshot. If I were in a trunk, would I have this tire-pressure gauge?” she asked, holding up the tool.

“Actually, yes. That’s exactly what you would have,” Fallon answered.

“Oh yeah? What about this car jack?” the fictional Harp shot back.

The exchange continued with a series of ordinary automotive items, including a bottle of antifreeze that the fictional aide produced as supposed evidence.

As Fallon continued to doubt her story, Harp warned that she was about to hit a “pothole.”

“Pothole?! Clearly, you’re in the trunk,” Fallon said. “You have to admit it’s a little strange that you’re so obsessed with the President that you can’t be away from his side for even one second, right?”

Harp has dominated headlines for roughly a week after being mentioned by a Democratic Georgia Senator and a recent Washington Post report that highlighted her position and apparent importance to the President

The actress portraying Harp objected, calling Fallon’s characterization “so unfair.”

“What are you going to accuse me of next? Hiding under his bed while he sleeps and gently whispering love poetry so quietly that he thinks it’s just the wind, but I know what I’m saying, I know exactly what I’m saying, and I mean every word.”

“Every single word,” she stressed, repeatedly giving the camera suggestive looks.

The sketch also poked fun at Harp’s reported reputation as a “human printer”—a reference to claims that she follows the President with a portable printer so he can read documents in hard copy. The New York Times reported on the detail Tuesday amid renewed interest in the aide, who was also mentioned by Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff during a Sunday speech.

The fictional Harp then produced printed love letters addressed to the President while unconvincingly denying real speculation that their relationship may be closer than a professional one.

Another pothole jolted her at the end of the segment as Fallon laughed.

During his criticism of Trump on Sunday, Ossoff said the President simply “wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.”

The remark came as questions about Trump’s relationship with the staffer intensified following The Washington Post report, which detailed the significance of Harp’s work to the President.

On Tuesday, CNN’s Erin Burnett interviewed Harp’s estranged brother, Preston Harp, on OutFront. He said his sister may have an “unhealthy obsession” with Trump. Harp was hired as the President’s assistant in 2022.

According to reports from The Times and CNN, her loyalty to Trump has remained consistent despite efforts by members of his inner circle to create distance between her and the President.

Fallon has also mocked Donald Trump’s marriage, his foreign-policy approach and his claims that he is “in excellent health” during recent episodes.

The show offered another Trump sketch on August 11, criticizing the President by depicting him hiding in a catering cart before boarding a plane with Harp and others.

Senior officials including Marco Rubio and Scott Bessent were portrayed as remaining on a “decoy plane.”

The Daily Mail contacted the White House for comment.
