A man has denied the murder of a four-week-old baby at his home in Salisbury, as the infant’s mother also appeared in court over his death.
Jamie Fulford, 26, appeared at Winchester Crown Court where he pleaded not guilty to the murder of Jaxson Egerton and causing the death of a child.
Jaxson was admitted to Salisbury District Hospital, Wiltshire, with serious injuries in September 2022. He died eight days later.
His mother, Sophie Egerton, 22, has also been charged with causing or allowing harm or death of a child between August 30 and September 10, 2022.

The pair live in a £250,000 home in the town.
She will give her plea at Winchester Crown Court on September 22.
Judge Christopher Parker KC said that the trial will take place in January 2027 at Salisbury Crown Court and is expected to last five weeks.
Fulford and Egerton have been released on bail.
