Allison Langdon has broken down in tears during emotional scenes on Wednesday’s episode of A Current Affair.
The television host was speaking with Kiara Dean, widow of roof tiler Tyler Dean, who fell to his death on the job in January, when he was just 34.
Kiara, who was just down the street at the time, called her husband when she saw police and paramedics swarming the area.
‘I knew Tyler was working in the street, so I just straight away called him,’ Kiara told Langdon.
‘He didn’t answer. I tried to call again – he didn’t answer.’
Kiara rushed to the scene, where she was horrified to learn that the emergency vehicles were there for Tyler.

‘They just kept saying, “he’s had a really bad accident”,’ she said.
Tyler was rushed to Sydney’s Westmead Hospital, where he was placed on life support.
Doctors told Kiara that her beloved husband had suffered a catastrophic brain injury and was not going to survive.
Langdon broke down as Kiara described being told that Tyler’s injuries were ‘inoperable’ and ‘unsurvivable’.
‘I just started screaming “no, no”,’ she said.
Kiara lay by her husband’s side for two days, before his life support was terminated.
‘Just being able to hold him, hold his hand… I’ll always be really grateful for that time,’ she said.
Tyler’s organs, including his liver and kidneys, were donated, saving six lives, including that of a 17-year-old girl.

Tyler left behind his wife Kiara, 32, and their two young sons, Harvey, 4, and Cohen, 4
‘He did all of that,’ a highly emotional Langdon said.
‘In a way… he does live on, in six other beautiful humans, who have been given a second chance.’
Tyler left behind his wife Kiara, 32, and their two young sons, Harvey, 4, and Cohen, 4.
‘Harvey and Cohen have lost the most loving, caring, hands-on daddy who was the centre of their world,’ Go Fund Me for the family reads.
‘Kiara has lost her soulmate, the absolute love of her life and partner in every sense,’ it continued.
‘Tyler was an incredibly hard worker, a deeply loving husband and an extraordinary father. Everything he did was for his family.
‘He worked tirelessly to build a secure, stable and rewarding future for Kiara and their boys. One filled with love, opportunity, and presence.
‘That life and those dreams have been tragically cut short.’
The Go Fund Me has so far raised $289,127 of the $300,000 target.
