It’s no secret that many women close to President Donald Trump have all appeared to adopt a similar look: heavy makeup, dark eyes, false lashes, plumped lips, smooth skin, spray tans and dark contouring.
The trend, dubbed as the ‘Mar–A–Lago face,’ has not only taken over Trump’s inner circle – including his family members and high–ranking female staff members – but it has also completely swept the nation, with many other women trying to achieve the bold aesthetic.
Now, a makeup artist who works closely with the Trump family has revealed how you can perfect the MAGA makeover without cosmetic enhancements or plastic surgery.
Adrienne Gray, 37, has branded herself as the Capitol Hill glam girl and does makeup regularly for Lara Trump and Karoline Leavitt, amongst others.
She has lifted the lid on the Trump women’s beauty secrets exclusively with the Daily Mail, revealing their go–to makeup products, what they’re like behind the scenes and, of course, vital tips for others who want to look like them.
Gray explained that she had a passion for makeup from a young age and after studying art in college, she landed a job as a makeup artist focused on wedding glam.
However, she eventually left it behind to work in conservative media and spent years as a Fox News panelist.
But in January, she decided to quit TV to return to her first love – makeup – a passion that had stuck with her over the years.

‘Behind the scenes [on Fox] I would do glam for some of my [costars], I was always the glam girl and in the makeup room,’ she said.
She explained that she had built a network of powerful women during her years at Fox simply by ‘meeting people in the greenroom and working in the field.’ So, when she launched her makeup business, a lot of them started ‘hitting her up.’
‘One of my friends [national spokesperson for the Republican party] Elizabeth Pipko called me up and asked me to do her makeup when she was in DC,’ she recalled.
‘I did her makeup and she loved it and she said, “I should recommend you for Lara,” and she made the call and Lara booked me. She put full trust in me, when I was just starting my business.’
The first time Gray did Lara’s makeup was for the White House State Dinner – a formal event honoring King Charles III and Queen Camilla in April 2026 – and she was incredibly nervous.
‘I was hired to do her makeup for one of the most important events at the White House, with the royals, and I really didn’t know what to expect,’ reflected Gray.
‘I was a bit nervous. But as soon as I met her and shook her hand, all of it disappeared.’
However, the former Fox star admitted that she had to work hard to win over Lara’s trust.

Gray, who has two sons, said she and Lara have bonded over both being moms and explained that they often swap stories about motherhood
Gray said she’s done Lara’s glam in ‘some of the craziest places imaginable,’ ranging from a moving train to the ‘back rooms in government buildings’ to backstage at major events and of course, at the White House. ‘I went to the [hotel where she was getting ready] and she answered the door and she had a full face of makeup on,’ Gray recalled.
‘I looked at her and I was like, “Wait a second, you already have your makeup done.” We both started laughing. But she explained to me that she had all these experiences in the past where she wasn’t always thrilled with how her makeup turned out.
‘She had terrible makeup experiences [in the past] so she would always do her makeup [herself] and then [have her makeup artist] add a little on top.’
Gray explained that she told Lara, 43, she ‘totally understood where she was coming from’ but urged the political figure to give her a shot.
She went on: ‘I was like, “Let’s do this together, I promise I’ll walk you through everything, you’re going to love it.”
‘She trusted me, she took her makeup off and let me start from [scratch].’
Gray said Lara was ecstatic with the results and, from then on, she became the political figure’s go–to makeup artist.
‘We built this relationship based on trust. My goal with her has always been to make her feel like the absolute best version of herself,’ Gray said.
‘When it started I didn’t know if I would ever work with her again and it turned into a genuine friendship.’
Before becoming a makeup artist, Gray spent years working as a Fox News panelist
According to Gray, her favorite part about working with the Trump family is that they treat her like ‘friends’ rather than like an employee. She’s seen recently at the White House
She described Lara as ‘kind, professional, hardworking, funny and supportive,’ adding: ‘Despite everything she has on her plate, everyone she encounters she treats with warmth and respect’
Gray, who has two sons, said she and Lara have bonded over both being moms and explained that they often swap stories about motherhood.
She revealed that with Lara, family always comes first, as she’s usually FaceTiming her kids or husband Eric Trump.
And according to the makeup artist, Eric often ‘pops in’ while they’re getting ready to grab some hairspray and check on how the glam is coming along.
‘He’s always hyping her up. It’s really sweet to see,’ Gray shared.

‘We’re constantly on the move and we manage to always have a great time,’ she added. ‘Every day is different, which I love. It’s always an adventure.
‘We have this trusting relationship where even if the train is moving [she knows I] will deliver the level of glam she needs to feel confident.’

Gray has also done makeup for Leavitt, 28, who she branded as the ‘ultimate girl’s girl.’ She also recently started doing makeup for Donald Trump Jr.’s new wife Bettina Trump.
‘[Leavitt] is exactly what you’d expect from someone operating at that level. She’s incredibly focused, prepared and professional,’ Gray said. ‘She’s someone who walks into every room with purpose.’
According to Gray, her favorite part about working with the Trump family is that they treat her like ‘friends’ rather than like an employee.
‘I’ve never felt weird [around them], they’ve always made me feel comfortable,’ she gushed.
‘They are just like us. When I’m with them I feel like I’m just with my girlfriends. I’ve never felt like a person working for them, it’s incredible.’

So what are some of Gray’s tips for those who want to look like the Trump women?
Well, she suggested using ‘a glowy look and a shimmery eyelid,’ and stressed that a good highlighter and setting powder are vital.
‘I absolutely love the ONE/SIZE setting powder, the transparent one, it’s a go–to staple for all my clients,’ she dished.
‘It’s beautiful for TV and events and it blends perfectly with the skin. When you have high–flash photography you’re not getting a white film, it’s one of my favorites.’
Her other favorite products to use on the Trump women include Haus Labs Foundation, Mac lipliner in the color whirl and Patrick Ta eyeshadow.
She also said a makeup trend that she’s been implementing on her clients in recent months is a higher and more bold blush.
‘Right now we have a big blush movement in the makeup industry so I’ve been spicing up the looks with higher brush,’ she said.
According to the beauty guru, the secret to the Trump women’s flawless look lasting all day and night comes down to something simple: a good moisturizer.
‘For me, skincare is the most important part because it’s the base of your makeup,’ she said.
‘You must moisturize to have something the makeup can stick to, so you have a flawless look the entire night.
‘I love the Rhode Glazing Milk to go under makeup, it’s one of my favorite products. Then on top of that you want to go in with a primer or another moisturizer all underneath your base.’
Ultimately, Gray said she couldn’t be more thankful for how ‘incredibly kind and supportive’ the Trump family has been to her.
‘They’ve welcomed me into their world and trusted me with these very important moments and they’ve given me opportunities I couldn’t have ever imagined,’ she concluded. ‘I feel so lucky to be a part of their journey.’
