Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause lashed out at Katharine McPhee on social media after she helped throw a star-studded fundraiser for Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt.
In response to a TikTok video posted last week by the influencer Jordy Cray that was critical of McPhee for her relationship history, including past infidelity, and for her support of Pratt, the 44-year-old reality star accused McPhee, 42, of supporting ‘problematic men.’
‘One day she will find her real inner confidence but it won’t come until after she is discarded enough times by the problematic men she backs,’ Stause wrote in the comments section. ‘An insecure woman will steal your man, and give the worst advice.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for McPhee and her husband, David Foster, for comment.
The video Stause commented on also highlighted McPhee’s May–December romance with Foster, 76.

McPhee, 42, married Foster – who is 34 years her senior – in June 2019, becoming the record producer’s fifth wife.
Stause’s comment appeared to allude to an October 2013 incident in which McPhee was pictured kissing Michael Morris, a director on her series Smash.
At the time, both the American Idol star and Morris were married.
McPhee had tied the knot with Nick Cokas in 2008, while the director was married to The West Wing actress Mary McCormack.
After the scandal, McPhee filed to divorce Cokas in May 2014, claiming in her filing that they had been separated for a year, while Morris and McCormack remain married.
She later said in a 2016 interview with Ocean Drive magazine that she had ‘no regrets’ over the infamous kiss.
‘I got married really young, and then divorced,’ McPhee said, adding that being on the dating scene was ‘what I should have been doing when I was 20 instead of planning a wedding.’
‘But I don’t have any regrets. All of the choices I made I learned from in a really deep way,’ she said.

Stause may have also taken issue with McPhee’s support for Pratt, as she begged her fans in April on Threads to avoid voting for the former star of The Hills.
‘Can I please implore NO MORE reality star politicians PLEASE! I have nothing against Spencer! In fact I like him on TV! NOT in the government tho😩,’ she wrote. ‘CA please pull it together🙏.’
Several commenters on Cray’s TikTok were in full agreement with Stause and cheered her in the responses.
‘OMG CHRISHELL TELL THE CLASS MORE,’ one fan replied.
But others called out Stause for blaming McPhee’s actions and politics on the men in her life.
‘Um her own bad decisions can too just be her own decisions, we don’t need people to not own their own accountability,’ one user wrote.
They also referenced McPhee’s politics, as she came under fire from some of her fans after it was revealed in 2020 that she had donated twice in support of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
McPhee and Foster joined forces earlier this month to invite celebrities and wealthy donors to their LA home for a fundraiser supporting Pratt’s bid to become the city’s next mayor.

The registered Republican is running to replace incumbent Mayor Karen Bass, whom he has viciously attacked for her handling of last year’s LA Fires and for the city’s issues with homelessness and crime.
While Pratt is attacking Bass from her right and courting other celebrities, LA City Councilmember Nithya Raman is running to Bass’s left on an affordability platform reminiscent of the one Zohran Mamdani used in his successful campaign to be elected New York City mayor.
At their fundraiser, McPhee even serenaded the 42-year-old former reality TV star with Foster playing the keyboard in the backyard of their Brentwood mansion.
In one of the clips posted on Instagram by One America News Network anchor Alicia Summers, McPhee played off of the Tina Turner hit The Best as she changed the lyrics to boast that Pratt is ‘better than Karen Bass and Nithya Raman.’
However, during one of the choruses, McPhee mistakenly called Raman ‘Cynthia’ instead of Nithya, and reacted to her mistake by saying, ‘I called her Cynthia,’ to which Pratt shrugged.
