Fashion influencer Susanna Lau, 42, known online as Susie Bubble, has revealed that her collection of 150 designer bags was stolen from her home

A fashion influencer has revealed that her collection of 150 designer bags was stolen from her home.

Susanna Lau, 42, known online as Susie Bubble, first rose to fame in 2006 when she launched her popular fashion blog, Style Bubble.

She has now racked up over 701,000 followers on her Instagram, where she often flaunts her lavish lifestyle and showcases her chic looks and designer wardrobe.

Earlier this week, the social media star got emotional as she revealed that her house in London had been burglarized.

In a video shared to her Instagram, Lau explained that when she returned from her recent trip to the Maldives, she made the shocking discovery that someone had broken into her home.

‘All of my handbags are gone. 150 bags or so, which sounds like a crazy amount of bags but they were accumulated over a pretty long period of time, the best part of 20 years,’ she explained.

‘I went from being the bag lady to being bagless,’ Lau, who often totes her expensive handbags at events and in her posts, continued. ‘They cleared me out.’

The fashion blogger appeared to hold back tears as she reflected on the pain of losing her expansive collection, which she described as a reminder of all of the ‘amazing trips and experiences’ she’s had.

‘A lot of them were gifts from people I know,’ she went on. ‘It’s not just a loss of mere stuff, it’s memories.’

Lau said she ‘wasn’t going to go into detail’ on the burglary because it is ‘still being investigated by the police’ but said it felt like a ‘huge violation.’

She also revealed that the ordeal left her feeling terrified in her own home and scared to go outside.

‘It has been really tricky. I have not really been able to even get dressed [without feeling uneasy],’ she said.

‘I haven’t wanted to go out either because I get scared. What do I do? Should I just stay here? Should I just stand guard?

‘I don’t feel comfortable leaving the house [except for] work stuff or if I know someone was gonna be at home, like my partner, that makes me feel a bit better.

‘I think losing so much of that stuff all in one go has left me really shaken because it’s sort of a testament of my work.’

Lau noted that she was ‘painfully aware that this is indeed the epitome of a first world problem’ and encouraged her followers to ‘tell her she’s being ridiculous.’

‘Is it that I didn’t deserve to have those wonderful opportunities in the first place?’ she wondered.

‘I’ve really been trying to minimize it to myself so that I don’t feel so upset and devastated by it. Even me just saying the word devastated out loud sounds ridiculous in and of itself.

‘At the end of the day it is just stuff. Come on, tell me I’m being ridiculous, tell me that I’m a dumb b***h for even doing this video.

‘It’s silly to be attached to what is essentially a few pieces of leather stitched together and some hardware.’

The incident also left her wondering if maybe she went overboard with her collection, as she admitted: ‘Nobody needs that many handbags.’

As for whether or not she plans to replace the bags, she said it would ‘feel weird’ to go out and buy a bunch of designer bags at once.

‘That’s not how one accumulates stuff, at least not for me,’ she said. ‘I don’t like buying loads and loads of things all at once. I like the fact that they’ve come into my wardrobe over time.’
