Have you ever wondered why some people seem to be able to click their fingers and magically manifest their heart’s desires? Do you set intentions but feel the universe isn’t listening?
To most people, manifestation is willing what you want into reality. But for me manifestation is a spiritual mindset in which you’re not trying to attain a perfect life but seeing perfection in the journey you’re on.
It is best viewed as a means of living more fully in connection with the universe rather than a way of feeling entitled to getting more ‘stuff’.
We all manifest unconsciously, like breathing. For instance, when it comes to breathing, you can breathe shallowly and unconsciously, which will keep you alive, but not partaking of optimum oxygen.
But you can also become more conscious of each breath. Inhaling and exhaling more deeply stills your mind and calms your nervous system.
In the same way, you can either allow your unconscious thoughts to dictate your day or become intentional about what you want to manifest.
I want to show you how, if we put astrology and manifesting together, their synthesis reveals a whole world of potential. Astrology, which shows how the past, present and future interlock and gives the underlying truth about any situation, provides the X‑factor that can help us manifest on steroids!
Anyone can master this as long as they are prepared to dive into what’s not obvious, ordinary and everyday.
Debbie Frank is the author of Manifest With Astrology
You may have heard of being born ‘under a lucky star’, but we can create our own lucky stars by refusing to be a victim and channeling positive energy. We can absolutely choose to let go of lack and fear and become curious about how to ‘unstick’ ourselves and turn things around.
But we have to be willing to let go of the negative energy trapped in our unconscious. The best way to do that is through tapping into our unconscious and the universe through astrology.
The thing to ask ourselves is: ‘Am I actually willing to stop wallowing in this negativity? Am I more comfortable churning out what happened in the past than being present with what’s happening now?’
Stop giving bad past experiences airtime in your mind. Stop repeating them to yourself and other people. Try it for a few days, a week or so, and you will create a new habit of living in the moment.
I will help you get to the heart of what and how you can manifest, through discovering your superpowers and how to maximize their expression.
Then we will move on to the challenges you may face as you encounter your sticking points and I will guide you through some exercises to help loosen up your attachment to them and break the patterns.
I wish you happy manifesting with astrology.
Aries
(Mar 21 – Apr 20)
Superpower: Fearlessness
Aries has a zesty and warm aura that ignites motivation in others
Your fiery nature courses through every cell of your being. You don’t wonder if you can do or have something, you just get on with going after it. And not having a minute’s self‑doubt can really work in your favour!
Your ‘can-do’ mentality is a great gift that constantly drives you forward. Facing the impossible, facing the fear, even acts as an incentive for you to try harder, go bigger, go all‑out
Your aura is zesty and warm, which ignites contagious motivation in those around you.
Sticking point: Coming on too strong
Your bravado comes across as a force of nature. It’s an alpha energy that throws shade on those who are quieter, more sensitive or considered.
So, there are times when you come across as pushy, grabby or bossy. Your default setting is in fact one of winners and losers. And you intend to win!
Any delay ignites your ire and frustration, and if you face a continual barrage of delays, it can be easy to blame someone else for hindering your efforts. A strategy and review process, on the other hand, could help you realise you are still on course after all.
Developing the alchemical power to tame your own fire helps you avoid burnout.
You become less of a hothead and know how to channel your yang energy using skilful will as a wise warrior rather than acting on impulse.
Turnaround tip: Get into the habit of being generous. Particularly when it comes to championing another.
Taurus
(Apr 21 – May 21)
Superpower: Determination
Taurus struggles with change and associates it with chaos
It’s often said about Taurus that you never give up! Being able to tap into vast reserves of staying power is your gift. You possess an endless will to make things happen. Yet you’re not chafing at the bit to get it all done in super‑quick time.
Being able to appreciate the value of preparation and planning is a blessing when it comes to manifesting. ‘Keep calm and carry on’ is a mantra that perfectly fits your psyche. Your thinking is that something worth having requires a sustained effort in order to bring it in.
Sticking point: Dislike of change
Taurus has a natural aversion to change! You associate it with being taken into a chaos state that upends your best‑laid plans. Another one of your attributes, the steadiness that keeps you on the straight and narrow, can also turn into a block if it means you won’t take a chance, grasp an opportunity or steel yourself to be spontaneous.
The meaning of the Latin proverb ‘Fortune favours the brave’ can pass you by. Being risk‑averse, you automatically reject the unexpected, even if it’s a golden ticket. It isn’t in your plans!
Turnaround tip: As a Taurus, you are supremely connected to the ground, to the Earth. Become an anchor for others and teach them how to maintain inner stability while remaining open to life’s changes. Holding things lightly without fear of loss or change is your challenge. But releasing the resistance allows the universe to do its thing.
Gemini
(May 22 – June 22)
Superpower: Connecting
Gemini has the ‘natural superpower of connecting’, writes Debbie Frank
Your sparky, bright, delightful, bubbly spirit is a magnetic energy that draws people to you. This gives you the natural superpower of connecting.
You are so socially skilled, that your interactions match the constant movement and flow of universal energy. In this way you ‘catch’ opportunities and are able to manifest your desires.
Never underestimate your gift for putting one person in touch with another. This amounts to a generosity of spirit that the universe appreciates.
Being a versatile multi‑tasker, you switch between things rather than staying focused on one. It is the boredom of being trapped that you fear.
Sticking point: Fragmentation
It may be fun to consider all the options and even necessary at times, but the Gemini habit of exploring every idea can lead to a scattering of energy.
Flitting, flipping and skittering around is also dizzying and sends out confused messages to everyone around you and to the universe. Communication becomes hazy, and if the universe can’t hear what you want, it can’t deliver.
Turnaround tip: Words come easily to Gemini. You are the master communicator. Think about how you might be creating word salad in your exchanges with others.
Each word you speak can plant the seeds of ideas in another person. These in turn can create waves of possibilities and beautiful manifestations.
Cancer
(June 23 – July 23)
Superpower: Emotional intelligence
The water sign of cancer is advised to let go of the need to get involved in the lives of others
As a Water sign, you have a natural affinity for all things that are non‑verbal. You are instinctive and pick up on everything that is non‑rational.
Your superpower of being emotionally intelligent means you can sense all the feelings that are circulating in the atmosphere around you.
Empathic and nurturing, you totally ‘get’ what’s going on for people, you are uniquely predisposed to inhabit the personal side of life.
Sticking point: Fear of stepping outside your comfort zone
You wear your armour in the form of your shell – an ever‑present cave that you can dive into at the first hint of danger.
You step back as a reflex action, however, rather than from a rational perspective. It’s difficult for you to articulate why you feel as you do, let alone step outside your comfort zone and put your desires out into the world.
Turnaround tip: Let go of the need to step in and become personally involved in the lives of other people.
You also tend not to live in linear time, but retain direct access to the past as memories leak into what you’re experiencing.
Attachment to the past and to nostalgic memories can block you from moving into both the present and the future. Dropping your attachment to the past would enable you to embrace something new, exciting and life‑enhancing. Archive it, but don’t make it front and centre.
Leo
(July 24 – Aug 23)
Superpower: Star attractor
Leo’s turnaround tip is to engage in exercises of grounding and gratefulness
Your radiance is second to none. Warm and charismatic, you have a naturally magnetic frequency that draws attention and makes you a star attractor.
You’re easily able to possess the confidence to ‘act as if’ until whatever you desire becomes a reality.
You want to do everything in a big way. Your flair for putting on a show is underpinned by your belief that life needs to be engaged with wholeheartedly. Just being yourself raises the bar for everyone around you.
Sticking point: Over‑attachment to everything being ‘Special’
Can we ever have too much? Can we want too much? Can we expect too much? These questions are useful to ponder if you are a Leo with an epic sense of life’s possibilities.
Leos tend to be overly attached to the spectacular – what you perceive as ‘special’.
Glamour and impressive appearances create an aura of success for you. Being ‘special’ is a big driver.
If, however, you equate ‘the best’ with ‘the most expensive’, you become habituated to no expense being spared and lavishing money on creating a particular look and feel. In fact you are actually creating a numbing effect where the stakes have to go continually higher.
Turnaround tip: Take on small, practical, mundane tasks as an exercise in grounding and gratefulness, seeing your humble role in the turning of the wheels of life as equally important as being a leader.
On the Leo evolutionary journey, a great release can be had from extricating yourself from any sense of entitlement or needing the world to revolve around you. If you are stuck in that place, true happiness, inner joy and love can get blocked.
Virgo
(Aug 24 – Sep 23)
Superpower: Discernment
Virgo takes satisfaction in perfection
Discernment is your wonderful superpower. It enables you to spot what’s good and separate the less desirable from what you really want and appreciate. When you look at something, you take in every microscopic detail.
In the manifesting process you can even see them in your mind’s eye, long before they actually show up in your reality.
For you, perfection is the ultimate satisfaction. You visualise perfection easily, while some other signs struggle to conjure up the picture.
As a natural‑born planner, you have a gift for creating strategies that are ordered and make sense. The caveat is that the universe sometimes has other plans.
You like to be a manifester for others, without expecting rewards in return. The concept of being of service to others, simply because you want to be, is a way that you channel the divine law of manifestation.
Sticking point: Perfectionism and control
However, not being able to accept imperfection can block the flow of the universe.
Perfectionism is also a way of controlling what can come into your life. It has an unrelenting quality that generates an uptightness in your energy field. Successful manifesting requires you to relax into the moment and accept that the universe receives your intentions but sometimes has a better way of delivering them.
Worry can also be seen as a form of negative meditation. As thoughts go round and round in your head, your anxiety about getting things right can turn into a self‑fulfilling prophecy where the exact opposite of what you desire comes to fruition.
Turnaround tip: Whenever you feel bogged down in details or repetitive thinking, raise your eyes to the sky or horizon and consciously imagine there is a bigger picture where everything is perfect, without you consciously having to organise and order it. You don’t have to know exactly what this looks like. All you have to do is trust it is there.
Libra
(Sep 24 – Oct 23)
Superpower: Bringing out the best in people
Libra struggles with making decisions and could benefit from being a little more selfish
Your innately personable nature helps your world go round. It creates a flow, an exchange of energy that invites co‑operation. You have a habit of bringing out the best in others.
This positive predisposition helps the universe to respond in kind. You just don’t do ugly, bad and wrong.
In terms of manifesting, counting your blessings is something that multiplies them, and there’s no doubt that being thankful for all the things you have already received in your life creates a positive energy field around you.
Love is a universal energy, love is unlimited. As a Libra ruled by Venus, you look for love in everything and instinctively know how to dip into it in order to rejuvenate both yourself and others.
You can channel love as a means of promoting co‑operation. Manifesting is co‑creating with the universe, so co‑operation facilitates the process.
Sticking point: Fear of making a decision
Famously, Libras don’t enjoy making decisions. Your real talent is for facilitating the progress of others on their way through the world. But because of this, you sometimes end up doing things that don’t suit you. Abdicating the power of choice to another person isn’t helping you to grow as a person.
You might consider being a little more selfish otherwise you can be only flimsily present in life, getting lost in what other people want.
It can take years to recognise that you have lost yourself in a relationship.
Turnaround tip: Imagine how liberating it would be to do something you needed to do just for yourself without the need to be liked for it. How about starting in a small way by setting a boundary? Saying ‘no’ just as a try‑out? It doesn’t have to be a big deal.
In fact, it’s best to practise with something relatively unimportant. Familiarising yourself with the assertive rush of saying ‘no’ and recognising the sky doesn’t fall as a result is a major step forward in self‑care and self‑development.
Scorpio
(Oct 24 – Nov 22)
Superpower: Passion
Scorpio could be relieved by letting go of having to manage what others do
The nature of Scorpio is so intense that when you want something, you really want it! Your absolute certainty that you must attain, have and hold what you want is your superpower.
It’s not that you’re obvious about it. Staying under the radar is more your modus operandi. Even though you have your obsessions, you also understand that keeping your deepest desires to yourself can amplify their power.
Scorpio is nobody’s fool. You see what others cannot see. The hidden agendas, the pitfalls, what’s lurking in the shadows.
Nevertheless, the ups and downs, your intense attachment to what you hold dear might daunt a weaker spirit.
It’s not that you welcome a crisis either, but you’re prepared to go through the process of elimination because inwardly you know you’re being given a bigger gift of transformation.
Sticking point: Trying to control the outcome
Of all the signs, Scorpio most dislikes being vulnerable. Scorpios frequently go to great lengths to mask, defend and protect any ‘weak spots’.
Also, to say that Scorpios have trust issues is an understatement! You may act as if you trust someone, but you are always watching to see if you should withdraw. As the process of manifesting itself requires a great deal of trust, you will, however, eventually need to bring yourself to do it.
You think you will lose power if you surrender or let go. Some Scorpios spend decades holding on to issues or emotional battles or wounds and the feelings attached to them.
Turnaround tip: A ‘just let them’ approach is huge relief. Letting go of having to manage what other people do, judge whatever they do or don’t do, or control the outcome is liberating. This includes the need to know why people act as they do.
Sagittarius
(Nov 23 – Dec 21)
Superpower: Belief
Sagittarius could be grounded by focusing on more realistic projects
The archer is an eternal optimist. Those born under this sign have a natural capacity to look on the bright side of life – something that is tantamount to being a born manifester.
You are also adventurous and possess enough ‘have‑a‑go’ and ‘get‑up‑and‑go’ to launch yourself at the biggest chances. You possess self‑confidence and also a confidence in the goodness of life itself. Therefore you are predisposed to pick up on everything that might lend itself to offering up a possibility that will be life‑enhancing.
The warmth of your nature also creates a positive vibe around you. You are fun to be around, which disarms those who are predisposed to standing back and opens them up.
Sticking point: Go big or go home
Sagittarius can get carried away with grand visions while overlooking details and practicalities. It often pays to do some research on exactly what’s required and to create a strategy that will work.
Of course, you like to take risks. That little bit of danger and the sense of there being no guarantees act as a catalyst for you to take a leap that would feel too far for another sign. You want to pull off the seemingly impossible.
Turnaround tip: Your restless spirit finds it hard to be still but if everything that is desirable lies in the next adventure, then nothing you already have is ever enough, and this can be a major block to feeling fulfilled.
Focusing on something that isn’t majorly over the top, or is at least more ordinary than ‘the next best thing’, would be a surprisingly grounding exercise for you.
Capricorn
(Dec 22 – Jan 20)
Superpower: Groundedness
Capricorn struggles with having faith as it tries to defend against vulnerability
In many ways Capricorns are primed to master the material world, ascend the ladder and achieve their ambitions. Yet it’s not the flashy peaks that attract you, more the sense that you want to earn everything and deserve to be rewarded for your efforts.
This reward may be credibility in your chosen field, respect, and/or a certain level of monetary security. Or simply an acknowledgement that you have done your best. And after an appraisal of the viability of achieving your desire, you will concentrate on the step‑by‑step climb towards it.
Essentially, you are a realist. Difficulties are to be endured and are seen as necessary for developing resilience, expertise and knowledge.
You have a gift for dealing with the unexpected or unwanted conditions, both personal and worldly, that can present in life.
You simply don’t make yourself vulnerable to it, rather observe how to make things work again.
Sticking point: Despondency and lack of faith
If the world around us is a reflection of what we believe, of the mindset we create, then the Capricorn world is not designed to be generous and helpful. Being self‑sufficient is a wonderful thing, but being part of an interactive flow can be even better. You defend yourself against any form of vulnerability, maintaining control over your feelings and containing or repressing anything that might show a weakness.
Developing faith in something other than yourself will uplevel the whole experience of manifesting for you.
Turnaround tip: In trusting that the universe is a benign, loving, supportive force that is essentially on your side, you will have greater power to manifest than purely through your own efforts.
Consciously allowing grace to flow through you and around you will enhance your experience of life and give you the capacity to align with the universe.
Aquarius
(Jan 21 – Feb 19)
Superpower: Electricity
Aquarians don’t view change with fear and don’t see a problem with upheavals
Aquarians broadcast their high‑frequency wiring through their aura and others cannot fail to pick up on the pure extraordinariness of their personal electricity. You can deliver a wake‑up call to others purely by providing a role‑model for being free‑spirited.
Perhaps you even invented the concept of manifesting, as you are the code‑breakers of the zodiac and way ahead of the game. You manifest naturally by virtue of your electric energy. You understand that whatever lives in your mind, in the realm of inspiration, can be made real.
Knowing that all things are interconnected, you can pierce the veil and step into universal energy.
Sticking point: Losing interest
Fascinated as you are by anything that is new and different, it can be hard for you to maintain interest in things that have been around for a while. When it comes to manifesting, you are looking to keep things fresh.
The desire to find alternatives is an innate quality and something you are very good at, but perhaps you also need to manifest a greater capacity to commit to what you have started.
You don’t view change with any fear. In fact, you tend to have a rather idealistic view of change. Being a trailblazer, you don’t see anything wrong with upheavals that upset, disturb or overturn what was previously in place.
But, you have a stubbornness that can be translated as ‘my way or the highway’. In the end negative energy can form around rigid attitudes, slowing down the manifesting process.
Although you are great at receiving intuitive hits and can make a random move that turns out to be perfect, those quick pivots tend to leave other people reeling. They may have to scramble to keep up with you. The universe itself finds it hard to work with erratic energy.
Turnaround tip: When you are able to convey your sense of humanity’s needs as a whole, you bridge the divide that polarises people.
You may adore the element of surprise that comes from randomly ricocheting off the walls, but this vibration can disturb the pure and trusted connection with universal energy that is needed for you to be in flow with the manifesting process.
Others may find you hard to read, and the universe itself is getting mixed messages and doesn’t know what you really want.
Pisces
(Feb 20 – Mar 20)
Superpower: Trusting in magic
Pisces believe in romantic dreams and fairy tales and is encouraged to magnetise these
Ethereal by nature, you can access altered states of consciousness without drugs! Your capacity to go beyond the mundane level of life into a parallel universe and flip, like your symbol of the fishes, between the seen and the unseen is nothing if not magical.
Soulful and empathic, you can’t help tuning in – to everyone and everything. You know that everything is connected. This creates an ease in aligning with the cosmos, which is halfway to manifesting your intentions.
You have no problem with subtleties and you are well versed in the language of the universe, which speaks in non‑verbal ways.
You simply possess an ability to connect with superconscious energy, to transcend ordinary life and join the dots as if the universe is laying out breadcrumbs for you to follow – which of course it is!
Rich in emotional intelligence, you also ‘read’ the room and other people: how they feel and what’s going on with them that they’re not saying.
Being able to go with the flow really helps you to relax and stop trying to control how the universe delivers. You don’t have to have things your way. You simply adapt your desires to what’s available.
That’s not to say that you don’t have a wish list! You absolutely do. You believe in romantic dreams and fairy tales.
What you can also do, which is the secret to your own manifesting magic, is to magnetise what you believe in.
You trust in life itself to deliver, and if it arrives differently from how you envisaged, you can forgive the universe and accept the change rather than rail against it.
You understand that divine intelligence has its own reasons and mysterious workings. This protects you from some of the ego struggles and wrestles that block up the divine flow of universal energy for other signs.
Sticking point: Passivity and giving up.
You have the capacity to go to two places – the higher or the lower energies of life, the sublime higher consciousness or the lower earthly material state, which is dense by definition.
Sometimes you get lost between the two or confused as to which way to go. When you are confused, you tend to become passive or to give up.
There can be an avoidant part of Pisces that doesn’t want to commit to making a decision. Pisces tends towards idealisation. Therefore, you sometimes find yourself drawn towards mirages that turn out not to be real.
Sometimes your own very real experience of being deceived, ripped off or even kidding yourself leads to a rude awakening.
Turnaround tip: Become aware that it’s not what you do but what you let go of that is the key to greater manifesting. Your compassionate nature can help other people to enjoy the healing power of letting go, freeing up more space for everyone to step into their full capacity to manifest.
