List of All Josh Brolin Movies on Netflix Right Now

Son of actor James Brolin, Josh James Brolin began his acting career in the 1980s with minor roles in films and television shows. Following his breakthrough in ‘The Goonies’ in 1985, Josh’s on-screen career went through a decline, and he focused on theaters instead. In 2007, he made his comeback in ‘No Country for Old Men’ to much critical acclaim. While his career progressed with films like ‘W.,’ ‘True Grit,’ and ‘Oldboy,’ his popularity received a significant boost worldwide as he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thanos. Josh has reprised the role for multiple films, including ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ He has also been part of Fox’s X-Men universe, starring as Cable in ‘Deadpool 2,’ and Gurney Halleck in Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’ film series. If you are looking forward to exploring Josh Brolin‘s films on Netflix, the following list will guide you through.

4. The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter (2018)

Jody Hill’s directorial ‘The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter’ stars Josh Brolin as Buck Ferguson, a famous hunter and television star. Along with his trusted friend and cameraman, Don (Danny McBride), Buck plans for a special episode where he takes his estranged son, Jaden (Montana Jordan), for hunting whitetail deer over the weekend. While the kid starts off grumpy with the forest for not having Wi-Fi, he is soon taken away on an epic adventure and reconnects with his father in the great outdoors. You can view the comedy-drama film on Netflix.

3. Everest (2015)

‘Everest’ tells the true story of the 1996 Mount Everest disaster that cost the lives of eight mountaineers. The film follows two groups, Adventure Consultants, led by mountaineer Rob Hall, and Mountain Madness, led by mountaineer Scott Fischer, as they set out to conquer Mt. Everest. Brolin plays the real-life Beck Weathers, one of the members of Hall’s team, who survived the disaster. The visually gripping drama shows the potentially fatal issues the climbers faced, who survived them, and who didn’t. The cast also includes Jason Clarke, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Hawkes, and Sam Worthington. You can watch the Baltasar Kormákur directorial here.

2. American Gangster (2007)

Ridley Scott’s true crime drama ‘American Gangster’ follows Newark Detective Richie Roberts (Russell Crowe) as he goes after drug lord Frank Lucas (Washington), who has been using US servicemen returning from the Vietnam War to bring imported drugs from producers in Thailand. Lucas’s business grows, while Roberts looks for a way to bring him to justice. When that opportunity comes in the form of one of Frank’s cousins, Roberts chalks out a plan to bring an end to Lucas’s business once and for all. Brolin plays detective Nick Trupo, a corrupt guy working for Lucas. The Academy Award-nominated film can be watched here.

1. Wake Up Dead Man (2025)

‘Wake Up Dead Man’ is the third installment in Rian Johnson’s ‘Knives Out’ franchise. Brolin plays a domineering monsignor, Jefferson Wicks, who is mysteriously murdered during one of his sermons. This naturally brings in Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig), who doesn’t believe the new priest, Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor), is responsible, though the other members of the congregation do. Jud works with Blanc to find the real killer, and as the plot unfolds, things get increasingly twisted. Wicks rises from his grave, the groundkeeper is murdered, and a face from the past gets involved, too. Blanc and Jud navigate truths, lies, and deceit to arrive at a shocking epiphany eventually. The stellar cast also includes Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Daryl McCormack, Thomas Haden Church, and Jeffrey Wright. A worthy and visually stunning addition to the ‘Knives Out’ franchise, ‘Wake Up Dead Man’ can be streamed right here.
