Marvel’s most powerful X-Men hero is officially back, as Nate Grey returns in a brand-new series. Nate has largely sat on the shelf at Marvel for years now, and while his latest appearance might only be limited, for now, it still raises fans’ expectations that he could have a major role ahead of him in the near future.

AIPT shared an exclusive preview of X-Men of Apocalypse #1, written by Jeph Loeb, with art by Simone Di Meo.

The advanced pages for the issue tease a central role for Nate, the X-franchise’s most powerful telepath, as he takes on the eponymous “X-Men of Apocalypse,” who seek to restore their native timeline at the cost of all others.
