Steam Makes 9/10 Story-Driven Game Completely Free To Keep Forever

On any given day, you can boot up Steam and find something completely new, often for free. Whether it’s an action romp, deep RPG, or visual novel, there’s something you can find constantly if you’re looking to branch into new genres, or try out old classics. It’s especially great if you can find something that’s free and completely devoid of microtransactions or free-to-play elements.

Given how many budding developers there are at any given time, odds are you’ll find something dropping for free every week. Over on Steam now, you can pick up a game that’s highly rated and currently has “very positive” reviews completely for free. Unlike some other offers, this one has no strings.

If you’re so inclined, you can log onto Steam now and pick up Set Yourself On Fire, a visual novel from developer Denhop. With a unique art style, it tells the story of two people in a small town, and the best part is that it’s free.

Here’s the quick rundown: “Set Yourself on Fire is a linear visual novel about decay and inconsequential love. A quiet town awaits death. Two young women fall in love. Soundtrack by Denhop, Saliclaire, Woebegone, Jason Calhoun, Kirishemma and Lone Mesa.”

For all the Steam fans out there, go ahead and redeem these free games even if you have no intention of getting to them anytime soon. It’s great to have games to fall back on one day as you continue to amass your backlog. But in this case, adding as many free games as you can will cut down on your spending.
