Elyse Knowles has been slammed online for uploading photos of her 16-month-old daughter Java unclothed and covered in chickenpox.
The bikini model, who is also mother to sons Sunny, five, and Zaii, two, shared the images on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, as she discussed how sick her family has been over the past month.
‘Holy s**t it’s been a month ending in chickenpox for this chick,’ she wrote next to a photo showing the extent of Java’s rash.
‘This is the good area on her body. Her private parts are covered,’ she added.
In another post she praised her fiancé Josh Barker for ‘pulling them through’, adding: ‘This is where living close to family would be handy.’
‘The family has had two rounds of the flu each, 3x chickenpox, 1x sinus infection. We are ready to be healthy now,’ she lamented.

Elyse also shared a post showing Java’s pox-covered back, writing: ‘Hasn’t slept in two nights. Too irritated, poor possum. 5 minute sleeps before waking.’
Critics have since blasted the mother-of-three, with one commenting on a recent photo in her feed: ‘How dare you posting your naked child like that on your stories!!!!!! You should be protecting her and not exposing her like that.’
‘What was she thinking? That is not cool,’ another user said, as someone else added: ‘It’s crazy how you can be so naive regarding posting your child naked on your stories? As parents, it’s our RIGHT to protect them at all costs. That’s f**ked up.’

Josh and Elyse are known for living a bohemian lifestyle, often enjoying camping adventures with their children.
Recently speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Elyse emphasised her love for the outdoors, explaining: ‘I grew up camping as a young girl, my family always valued stepping away from the everyday routine and getting out into nature to just be.’
‘It’s something we have carried through to our own family now,’ she continued, adding: ‘For us, it’s about raising our kids to appreciate the land, respect the outdoors, and embrace the simple things in life.’
Over on Reddit, users were equally as outraged.

Elyse and Josh rose to fame when they were crowned winners of The Block in 2017.
They famously moved from Melbourne to Byron Bay in 2019, seeking a quiet life away from the public eye.
In May 2020, they purchased a $2.3 million beach house in the New South Wales coastal town, which they renovated.
