Uma Thurman’s daughter Maya Hawke, who followed in her mother’s footsteps to act for Quentin Tarantino, shared some juicy advice she got about working with him.
Quentin, 62, has been trailed for decades by rumors that he has a foot fetish, based on how often he features his leading ladies’ feet on camera.
The habit was particularly pronounced in the case of Uma, who starred in Pulp Fiction and both Kill Bill movies and whom he once referred to as his ‘muse.’
Although Quentin has denied having any such fixation, chalking up the prominence of feet in his movies to ‘good direction,’ the conjecture has persisted anyway.
Now Maya, 27, who played a member of the Manson Family in the director’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, has poured fuel on the speculation.

While promoting Kill Bill Vol. 2 in 2004, Uma went on Late Night with Conan O’Brien where the host asked her about the claims of Quentin’s supposed fetish.
‘I think he staunchly denies it, but you should definitely address it. He claims that every foot shot was essential to the telling of the story,’ said Uma coyly.
Not only does he lavishly feature feet in the movies he directs himself, he famously slurped tequila off of Salma Hayek’s toes while acting in Robert Rodriguez’ From Dusk Till Dawn, a movie Quentin co-wrote.
Quentin’s fetish rumors have been a long-running joke among his fans and even among some of his highest-profile actors.
When Brad Pitt won an Oscar for Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, he quipped onstage that Quentin had ‘separated more women from their shoes than the TSA.’

‘I don’t take it seriously. There’s a lot of feet in a lot of good directors’ movies. That’s just good direction,’ he said of the rumors in a 2021 interview with GQ.
‘Before me, the person foot fetishism was defined by was Luis Buñuel, another film director. And Hitchcock was accused of it and Sofia Coppola has been accused of it.’
A couple of years ago a strip club staffer claimed to have seen security footage of Quentin paying one of the women who worked at the nightspot $10,000 so that he could lick her feet to the point they looked like ‘prunes.’
The staff member, who publicly goes by the sobriquets Lowlife or Page Rad, dropped the bombshell claims on the podcast Get in the Car.
According to the podcast guest, Quentin at some unspecified date supposedly dropped by an unnamed venue where Lowlife was working and booked himself a VIP room with a stripper who had the ‘biggest t**s’ and ‘biggest a**’ in the club.
‘He’s sitting down, she’s about to do her little… take her top off,’ Lowlife alleged. ‘And he gets up, throws her on the f**king seat, takes her boots off one by one, both shoes, just starts licking the bottoms of her feet, sucking toes.’
Quentin married Israeli singer Daniella Pick in 2018 and they share two children, Leo, five, and a daughter born in 2022 whose name they have kept private.
