Halo Recognizes Halle Bailey In ‘The Little Mermaid’
Mama Bailey uploaded the now-viral video to her social media. On X (formerly Twitter), she wrote, “Guys, I’m crying he actually knows Ariel is me.” The mother and son were watching the film on TV, and as Halle popped up in the scene, Halo looked over at his mom and started chanting, “Mama.” When she asked him if that was her, he repeated “Mama” again in between a few glowing smiles. Social Media Reacts To Adorable Mommy-Son Video
As mentioned, social media is in shambles–the great kind–over Halo recognizing “mama” in her Disney movie. For context, Baby Boy wasn’t the only one who gave the 2023 film what seems like a great review! Despite controversy over Halle’s casting and her red underwater locs, ‘The Little Mermaid’ ATE at the box office on its opening weekend in North America. It earned a reported $118.6 million. A few months later, that number jumped to $570 million at the global box office. When ‘The Little Mermaid’ premiered on Disney+ months later, it became the most-viewed Disney movie premiere EVER. We’re talking 16 million views during its first five streaming days, per The Walt Disney Company.
After The Shade Room reposted Halo’s ‘Little Mermaid’ reaction, over 19,000 roomies (and celebs) poured into the comment section to chat about the viral video.

Halo Is His Mama’s Biggest Fan!
While DDG gets ALL THE SMOKE from Halo, the one-year-old changes his tune when Mama Halle is around. Just last month, he went viral for, again, showing her artistry that sweet baby love! In a viral clip, Bailey recorded her mini-me watching the visualizer for her single, ‘Back and Forth.’ She released it on Valentine’s Day. The viral video, though, shows Halo watching the TV as his mother pops up on the screen. When he seemingly recognized her, the toddler turned his body around, smiled, and started boppin’ his tiny body.
