Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s son James Wilkie Broderick is following in his famous parents’ footsteps.

The 23-year-old aspiring actor showed off his muscular arms in new modeling photos posted to his Instagram on Tuesday.

The Sex and the City star’s eldest child flexed his biceps in a black tank top while giving the camera a brooding stare.

Another snap caught him looking effortlessly handsome, as he leaned back against a wall in a fitted white tee and paint-splattered pants.

He also posed for a moody black-and-white shot, sitting on a stool in a simple tank top that showcased his sculpted arms.

The Brown University graduate’s proud mom gushed about the glossy portraits in the comments, writing, ‘Ah handsome. And happy. Xxx, mama.’

‘So dope!! Thank you @bradwalsh, ‘ James wrote in the caption.

Having already secured a few minor roles prior to his 2025 graduation from Brown University, James has the unique advantage of turning to his famous parents for acting advice.

In 2024 he had a minor role as a valet in the TV series Lady in the Lake, which starred Natalie Portman.

He went on to share the screen with his father in 2025 in an episode of the CBS series Elsbeth.

He also starred in the 2025 short film Why Not, Pat?

According to his IMDb page, he has two upcoming projects on the horizon: the short film Alter Egos, in which he plays Man 3, and a feature titled Days Ending in Y, where he takes on the role of The Kid.

Tony Award winner Broderick previously said his son was initially ‘nervous’ to shoot with him when they starred together on Elsbeth.

‘It was great. We had two days together,’ he told E! News last year.

‘It was really fun to hang around the craft service table and eat snacks. He was nervous but he got over that. We had a great couple of days.’

Meanwhile, Parker shared the advice she and her husband gave their son when he began taking his first steps into the acting world.

‘I really want my children to be educated in the ways that are fulfilling to them,’ she said on The E! News Sitdown With Bruce Bozzi.

‘I don’t think that there is one way to be an educated person or to be equipped to be an adult and try to fashion a life for yourself after what would be considered “finishing college” – let’s say 22 years old.’

‘You want for them to be pursuing things that are exciting and challenging and hard and gratifying and to be able to ultimately take care of themselves, support themselves – emotionally, financially,’ she said, adding, ‘and that they can be in the world and be a reliable person to themselves and to other people. And so we talk about work like that.’

In January, James accompanied his parents to the Golden Eve event in Beverly Hills, where his mother was given the Carol Burnett Award.

Parker and Broderick married in 1997, and welcomed James in October 2002.

Do you think you’d pursue acting if your parents were Hollywood stars?

They went on to have 16-year-old twins, Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell, in June 2009.

Parker recently bid farewell to starring as Carrie Bradshaw in HBO Max’s Sex And The City continuation And Just Like That, which was cancelled in August.

She will next reprise her role as Sarah Sanderson alongside Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy in Anne Fletcher’s upcoming Hocus Pocus 3 for Disney+.

Meanwhile, her husband, who’s best known for starring in the 1980s classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, will next appear in Simon Bird’s comedy drama Pretend I’m Not Here, which is currently in pre-production.
