The set of a movie starring Charlize Theron and Demi Moore was reportedly evacuated in Los Angeles after a shooting that took place during a nearby World Cup watch party in Koreatown on Thursday.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to The Daily Mail that a 19-year-old male is in custody after a 50-year-old man was wounded and ultimately hospitalized. Neither have been identified publicly, but they’re not believed to be involved with the production of ‘Tyrant,’ a culinary thriller that was filming in the area, according to TMZ.
It wasn’t the LAPD that evacuated the set, but rather cast and crew, TMZ is reporting. The decision to send everyone home was a precautionary measure. Following the game, which Mexico won 1-0 over South Korea, LAPD issued more officers to Koreatown for crowd control.
The production also includes Julia Garner, Hudson Williams and Michael Chiklis, although it’s unclear if they were on set at the time of the shooting. The Daily Mail has sought comment from Amazon MGM Studios spokespeople.
Details from the shooting are still trickling in.

‘Where’s the victim?’ the officer then asked.
Several bystanders then told the officer, ‘over there.’
