She was criticized for playing the lead character while her children portrayed supporting roles. Her three-year-old son, Phoenix, dressed as the candelabra Lumiere, while her two-year-old daughter, London, wore a Chip costume
“Beauty and the Beast is one of their favorite movies,” she wrote. “London said she wanted to dress up as Chip. She said it was her favorite character in the movie.”
Others defended Hilton’s choices, describing the costumes as “iconic” and “adorable.”
“This is so cute! I have always wanted to wear Belle’s dress! You’re living it and it looks fabulous on you,” one user wrote.
“This just in: Women who have children are no longer allowed to be princesses. Their life is over. It’s only mother now,” another user sarcastically responded to one critic.
A further commenter noted that Hilton’s children may be “too little” to remember their Halloween costumes and encouraged her to “enjoy her MILF era to the fullest while she can.”
