Investigations are ongoing.
A 70-year-old man, who was reported missing since Apr. 24, was reportedly found dead at Marina East two days later on Apr. 26.
According to Chinese language daily Lianhe Zaobao, Foo Gee Guan, 70, was found motionless at Marina East Drive on Sunday morning at around 10:35am.
The road is reportedly largely isolated, frequented mainly by heavy vehicles serving the Marina East Staging Ground — a support facility for Land Transport Authority projects across Singapore.
Citing Shin Min Daily News, Zaobao reported that Foo had been diagnosed with dementia two years ago and also suffered from high blood pressure.
His family said he had left home without his medication, wallet or water bottle.
Foo was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts in the vicinity of Block 51 New Upper Changi Road on Friday at about 3:20am, which was more than 10km from where his body was later found.
In response to Mothership’s queries, the police said they were alerted to a case of unnatural death at Marina East Drive and Foo was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic.
They added that preliminary investigations did not suggest any foul play, and investigations are ongoing.
