Fox News star Jacqui Heinrich shares emotional message to husband Brian Fitzpatrick as he loses Congress seat

Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich offered public support to her husband, Brian Fitzpatrick, after the Republican congressman lost his Pennsylvania seat to Democratic challenger Bob Harvie.

Heinrich, 37, who married Fitzpatrick, 52, in June, shared an emotional tribute on Instagram Wednesday following the defeat.

She praised Fitzpatrick’s decade representing Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in Congress, highlighting the “quiet sacrifices” he made while serving his constituents.

“I could not be more proud of the man you are and all you have accomplished,” she wrote.

“You gave Bucks County a decade of true service and quiet sacrifice, because you care deeply about those who placed their trust in you.”

“Your legacy is one of heart, courage and character—and nothing can take that away. Team Fitz forever. I choose you, every single time.”

The couple began dating in 2021 after meeting for their first date at the Kennedy Center Honors.

They announced their engagement in July 2025, following Fitzpatrick’s proposal several weeks earlier in Valensole, a small town in southern France.

Fitzpatrick told People that he was inspired to propose after Heinrich mentioned in an interview the previous year how much she wanted to visit the South of France—to “eat the baguettes, see the lavender fields, drink the wine and eat the butter.”

The pair rose at 1:30 a.m. and drove for more than two hours from Nice, where they were staying, to Valensole before sunrise.

When they reached the lavender fields, Fitzpatrick told Heinrich he wanted to take photographs of her.

Instead, he dropped to one knee and presented her with a ring purchased from a “long-time family jeweler in Portland, Maine.”

According to People, the ring featured “a brilliant-cut round diamond solitaire on a six-prong platinum setting with a yellow gold band.”

Heinrich, who joined Fox News in 2018 and co-hosts The Sunday Briefing, described Fitzpatrick to People as “the most principled, thoughtful and brilliant person I know.”

“I love his brain. I love the way he approaches problem-solving and solving complex issues,” she said.

“He’s strong and a man of faith, who brings me closer to God. He’s sweet and gentle and kind—all of the easy qualities in a person that just make him a joy to be around and life brighter.”

The couple married at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City in June 2026 before celebrating aboard the Horizon’s Edge yacht.

“New York is significant to both of our lives—it was Jacqui’s first assignment as a network news reporter and Brian’s first assignment as an FBI agent,” the couple told People after the wedding.

“Brian’s parents are both from New York, where their own parents settled after immigrating from Ireland via Ellis Island.”

“Likewise, Jacqui’s great-grandparents immigrated to New York after arriving from Hungary. It’s a place we often spend time, and it’s conveniently equidistant between our families in Pennsylvania and New England.”

Heinrich wore a corseted Galia Lahav gown that she described as “dramatic” and evocative of “old Hollywood.”

The Associated Press declared Harvie the winner shortly after midnight Wednesday, confirming that he had unseated Republican Representative Fitzpatrick.

Before entering politics, Harvie worked as an FBI special agent and an assistant U.S. attorney.
