Dolly Parton said she was 'overjoyed' with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ahead of the couple's rumored Madison Square Garden wedding celebration

Dolly Parton has gushed over Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s generosity as their lavish wedding celebrations get underway in New York City.

This week the couple donated $2 million to Parton’s Imagination Library, a book giveaway program founded over 30 years ago with the goal of ‘fostering a love of reading’ for children around the world.

Parton’s program was just one of several that Swift and Kelce gave to, with the duo donating a whopping $26 million in total to various charities, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Feeding America.

In a clip shared to X on Friday, the singer personally thanked the couple and said she was ‘overjoyed’ by their philanthropy.

‘Taylor and Travis, it’s Dolly,’ she began. ‘I was just told that you two are making a donation of $2 million to my Imagination Library. Thank you, thank you, thank you!’

‘I’m blown away and overjoyed with that gratitude. Now it’s evident that you two have made giving back a key part of your lives,’ Parton continued.

The 11-time Grammy winner followed up by asking them about having children together.

She said jokingly and enthusiastically: ‘So, hey, when you have your firstborn, can I have it? Because that is gonna be one special baby!’

Before concluding her video, Parton then added: ‘You know the mission of the Dollywood Foundation is to, “Dream More, Care More, Learn More and Be More.”

‘And thank you again for your very generous gift, and we’ll continue that mission even in bigger ways now with your money,’ she continued.

‘So thank you, and know that I will always love you,’ she added.

Swift and Kelce purportedly donated to 20 different American charities ahead of this weekend’s wedding celebration party that they are holding at Madison Square Garden.

While Parton’s program received $2 million, the exact amount other charities received is currently under wraps.

Of the 20 total charities across the country, the pair also made a generous donation to Rhode Island Community Food Bank, which is also where Swift owns a lavish estate in Watch Hill.

The couple also donated to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, which is where Kelce plays tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the clip, Parton also jokingly asked the couple for their firstborn child and said the pair would have 'one special baby'
