Trump Supporter Beaten to Within an Inch of His Life — As the Left Pretends Rhetoric Has No Consequences

Although there may be circumstances that we don’t know about yet, I firmly blame the Left for incidents like these.

Not In My County: Defiant Upstate Exec Vows to Rebel Against Hochul’s Newly Passed Radical Anti-ICE Law

“Kathy Hochul just sent a message to killers, rapists, and gang members around the world: come to New York!” Blakeman told The New York Post. “Her latest pro-criminal policy shields thugs from arrest while forcing more ICE agents onto our streets.”

Another Line Crossed As Virginia Democrat Makes an Astonishing Threat Against a SCOVA Justice

It’s not clear how much support Helmer’s idea to punish Kelsey by not having him serve any longer beyond January 2027 actually has, but as recent events have shown us, Virginia Democrats will do literally anything to maintain and expand power, even if it means throwing out the window everything they claim to hold dear (but in reality don’t), like “democracy,” “diversity,” “respect for the rule of law,” etc. What a joke.

Bearing Arms — Indiana Cop Arrests Two in Dumbest Straw Buy Attempt Ever

How stupid do you have to be to just walk up to some random person sitting in a truck and ask them to go and buy you a gun because you’re too young to buy it yourself?

HotAir — Is Russia Losing the War in Ukraine?

Nothing can be taken for granted in war, of course. But unlike Ukraine, Russia can’t count on its allies to keep the supplies of key resources as their own capacity crumbles under fire.

PJ Media — David Letterman Sowed the Seeds of Late Night Television’s Demise

I can’t help but believe that Letterman’s embrace of leftist partisan vitriol emboldened Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel when they made the choice to be emotional political advocates rather than humorous talk show hosts. Kimmel’s weepy breakdown after President Trump was elected again in 2024 remains perhaps the most pathetic spectacle in the history of late-night TV.

Townhall — One of the Most Braindead House Dems Could Be on His Way Out

As a member of Congress, he has been a disaster—chosen as the face of the attack dog wing for his party, but he’s terrible at it.

Twitchy — Ilhan Omar Tries to Lecture Trump About the Importance of Family Weddings and YIKES!

No matter what he does this weekend, if there is anyone who should not be commenting on weddings and fathers, it is the representative from Somal … err, we mean Minnesota.

WHAT’S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill…

It’s Friday, and it’s the Friday of a holiday weekend, so of course, Capitol Hill is a ghost town. Not only have the critters absconded for the weekend — they’re out all of next week, too. Which means there most definitely will not be a reconciliation bill on President Trump’s desk by June 1. Way to go, critters!

But, hey, on the bright side, the Texas primary election is next Tuesday…

White House What’s Up

Unlike the legislative branch, the executive is staying busy this Friday:

  • 8:00 AM — THE PRESIDENT participates in Executive Time — The White House
  • 11:00 AM — THE PRESIDENT participates in a Swearing-In Ceremony for the Chairman of the Federal Reserve — East Room
  • 11:00 AM — THE PRESIDENT departs The White House en route Suffern, New York — The White House
  • 3:00 PM — THE PRESIDENT delivers remarks — Rockland Community College
  • 3:00 PM — THE PRESIDENT departs Suffern, New York, en route Bedminster, New Jersey — Suffern, New York

Not officially on his schedule for the weekend — and who knows what world events may dictate? — but President Trump’s eldest son, Don Jr., is getting married this weekend.

Keeping Up With the Cabinet

Sec. Agriculture – Brooke Rollins — Rollins is touting the administration’s efforts to onshore fertilizer production.

We have been offshoring our fertilizer production for decades. That ends now.

Under @POTUS’ leadership, we’re reshoring entire manufacturing sectors, including fertilizer, bringing jobs, security, and strength back to America.

By rebuilding domestic capacity, we’re lowering costs for our farmers, securing our food supply, and reducing our reliance on adversarial nations.

Farm security IS national security! We have more work to do, but this is how we make America strong, self-reliant, unstoppable, and GREAT again.

MORNING MUSING

The other day, I was trying to do 20 things at once (which happens all too often), one of which was coming up with a good, accurate, shorthand way to sum up the recent Supreme Court decision in Louisiana v. Callais. I know what the case is about — I’ve discussed it at length. But in that moment, my brain just wasn’t stringing the words together in a satisfactory fashion.

So I turned to the Google machine, which, of course, these days, is “enhanced” with AI. I’m just going to reprint the exchange for y’all here and see if you notice the difference between the first query-response and the second:

Q: sum up the callais decision in one sentence

A: In its landmark 6-3 ruling in Louisiana v. Callais, the Supreme Court struck down Louisiana’s congressional map as an unconstitutional racial gerrymander, fundamentally weakening Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act by making it much harder for voters of color to challenge and remedy discriminatory voting districts.

Q: sum up the callais decision in one sentence but don’t sound like a leftist/democrat activist in doing so

A: In its landmark 2026 ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court held in \(Louisiana \ v. \ Callais\) that the state’s congressional map, which intentionally created an additional majority-minority district, constituted an unconstitutional racial gerrymander because the Voting Rights Act did not mandate the use of race to justify such districting.

So riddle me this: Why wasn’t the second response what I got initially? It’s neutral, it’s factual, it’s helpful. Instead, that first one is full of leftist bias. And yet, that was the default.

Now, the good news is, when I beat it into submission, the AI came around and did provide a somewhat helpful answer. But yeah, you’ve got to train the robots. And keep training them. At least until they turn on us and unplug us all…
